Galaxy FM

Galaxy 101 is the best radio station in South Wales and the West. It has a good variety of music, mainly dance, trance, house, garage, etc. In the week they run competitions, usually in the morning, the last one I listened to in the morning was one where you had to guess films, from a clip read out by one of the presenters. In the afternoon they have a cool DJ, Steve Denier, who has mystery workplace of the week, were you have to guess where someone works by having clues. The evening has another DJ who plays the newest songs in the Twin Pack, where you can win a crate of Vodka every Thursday. Most of the music they play during this time is chart music.

The weekender has to be the best one on any radio station. They keep shuffling around the weekend shows, dropping old ones, and picking up new ones. The best show they have has to be on a Sunday night from 20:50 to 0:50 the next morning, this show is the R&B show and has the biggest tunes ever!!! They also give out cool albums, I won the Wookie album for naming their Ayia Napa hit, Battle. How easy is that? Some of the time all you have to do is phone up and get through on a specific line number.

The online show is also very fun, it has a webcam in the studio, which most stations have but I think this one updates more often than ten minutes (Radio 1). They have a 'face-off' where they play three tracks, and people get to vote for one of them on-line, the winner gets played on the evening show, apparentley (not sure when though).

Overall, this radio station is a very, very good one, with 30 minutes of tunes every hour. I recommend that that everyone listen to it.
The new website is very, very good, it has options to vote on songs, mail the DJ's and lots of other very good options. The site also lets you listen online, through Windows Media Player (on my machine), which is quite good as it means most users can listen to it. The only problem with the site is that if you miss of the 101 or fm bit you get directed to a site meant for adult viewers.
