I was disappointed in this hot chocolate. I was looking for a tasty hot chocolate drink, and found this in the supermarket. It was priced in the mid-to-high range, and so I thought if I am paying more, I must be getting a decent product. Especially also as I love eating Galaxy chocolate, I thought that the hot chocolate version made by the same company must be a treat.
I was wrong. The instructions are simple and easy - add boiling water to a few heaped teaspoons of choccie mixture, and mix. The result was a watery, tasteless liquid. I followed the instructions. I was bitterly disappointed as I am a fan of Galaxy chocolate. I tried adding more chocolate powder, but this did not make the drink any more tasty or rich. As another member says, the result like the nasty hot chocolate you get from some vending machines!
Now I've taken a look at the Mars website, and I can't believe what they say about this hot chocolate: 'is made with real Galaxy chocolate helping make it a deliciously smooth and creamy hot chocolate experience'. It's Codswallop if I've ever heard it before. It's such an untrue statement. I've been eating chocolate for years, from expensive stuff which you don't eat all that often, to stuff from Lidl (which is really tasty too). So I've eaten loads of Galaxy chocolate before and I would say that this hot chocolate does not taste like it's got Galaxy chocolate in it. I can say this though, if you're unfortunate and try this hot choc drink before you've ever tasted the chocolate bar, you probably wouldn't like it, wouldn't get a good impression of Galaxy chocolate and won't buy the choccie bar. So, this doesn't do the chocolate bar any justice!
I really felt like I had wasted my money. I would not buy this again. My advice would be, Tesco's own brand hot chocolate powder is better!
