Galaxy Instant Hot Chocolate Drink

I love chocolate Dairy milk or Galaxy it doesn't really matter so when I saw a hot chocolate drink made by Galaxy I just had to buy it. I think it was around 30p for one sachet. This one came from Tesco but is available at other shops too.

It comes in a 28g packet and to me it looks slightly orange but I think it is supposed to be a chocolate colour. It has Galaxy written in brown writing across the middle and instant hot chocolate drink just under that in smaller writing. Think chocolate, think indulgence, think galaxy hot chocolate. The back of the packet is a darker brown colour and has the ingredients, which I don't think I need to list except the fact that there is 7.5g of real galaxy chocolate in this sachet, allergy advice, which tells you it contains milk and Soya, nutrition information. Per serving this hot chocolate drink has 115 kcal, 3.4g of fat and 19.2g of carbohydrates, not good if you are watching you waist.

To make the drink you simply pour the contents of the packet into a mug and add boiling water, making sure you stir it well or you will be left with lumps at the bottom of your mug, then sit back and enjoy. My boyfriend adds sugar and milk but I find it is plenty sweet enough with out adding and extra sugar, this would bump the calories up and I think 115 in one drink is enough as well, I also don't like to add any milk because drinking it hotter makes it taste better to me anyway!

I found that it did not taste like Galaxy at first because I let it cool too much for my liking, I found if I drank it very hot and quite quickly that it tasted more like galaxy, it is quite creamy, smooth and seems thick, but it is no thicker than normal hot chocolate.

The smell of it in the packet is lovely, really rich chocolate, I could not tell you it was galaxy if I did not see the packet, the smell reminds me of Easter when I was a child. When the drink is made the smell is not so strong and again I couldn't tell it was galaxy hot chocolate. But don't be put off by this comment as I found the flavour when I was drinking it much like galaxy itself creamy and delicious.

I would recommend this to any one who it's not on a diet and just fancy's a treat. I do not buy it too regularly because I think I would get addicted to it.

Store in a cool dry place, the contents may settle during transit.
