Who is Gale Hayman?

Originally Gale Hayman was a ballet dancer, and since giving this up many years ago, began studying and teaching beauty. While studying retailing and fashion, she eventually became a style consultant to many Hollywood stars. She studied fragrance, skin care and make up, and even has her own fragrance called ‘Delicious’.

Gale Hayman and her then husband, turned a tiny fashion boutique, into the Giorgio Beverly Hills - a fashion emporium on Rodeo Drive. They furnished it more like a club with comfortable gold velvet couches and chairs, a chandelier, a large pool table, magazine racks, a big copper espresso machine and a full service bar. They would attract customers because it was very inviting, cosy and elegant - very European. Giorgio grew very fast and some of the most glamorous women in the world became their clientele - Princess Grace, Barbra Streisand, Elizabeth Taylor, Nancy Reagan and Jacqueline Bisset to name but a few.

Make-up or skin care was never sold at Giorgio, but they were the first retail store to launch their own fragrance - Giorgio Beverly Hills, which was launched in the early eighties. It had taken over two years to perfect. The perfume was then sold to Avon in 1987, for the highest amount ever to be paid to a family - owned fragrance company.

Unfortunately it was during this time that her marriage became over, and while trying to build herself a new life, started - Gale Hayman Beverly Hills Inc. She started at home in her living room in Los Angeles, testing colours on women and developing eye and skin-tone colour palettes, and then spent two years collaborating with a French dermatologist working on her skin-care line, and worked personally with chemists to develop a separate formula for each make-up colour. It took a full two years to launch the ’Youth Lift’ skin care line; another two for the Treatment make up line and another two for ’Delicious’, which is a more restrained scent than Giorgio. These products are always packaged in Gale Hayman’s leopard print, which has become her trademark.

Since developing the Gale Hayman range of cosmetics and skin care products; Gale Hayman has learnt all about the ingredients, and whether a product has the key ingredients. For example sunblocks and sunscreens, the chemists have taught Gale Hayman to forget about sunscreens as they simply don’t work and neither will sunblocks, not unless they contain zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, something to look out for!

Gale Hayman has now married a molecular biologist that has a degree in chemistry, and still continues creating and marketing her cosmetics and her advanced collection of highly effective treatment skin care products. One of these revolutionary products being ‘Youth Lift’.

Aging

Unfortunately, this is something that happens to everyone whether they like it or not, and some seem to age more gracefully than others. Looking after your skin doesn’t have to be expensive, time-consuming or complicated - but it does have to be consistent.

There are three causes of wrinkles:

Sun damage,
Abuse and neglect,
Biological aging.

Good skin care can address all three causes.

With the aging process the skin gradually loses its ability to repair its supporting foundation of collagen and elastin (the skins structure proteins that give the skin its suppleness and tone). The areas that this particularly affects are around the eyes, mouth, throat and forehead. The treatment is quick, effective, and easy to use, leaving fine lines and wrinkles smoothed away and your skin feeling soft and youthful.

This product is formulated 20% elastin and natural biological ingredients, in a unique formula from the Beverly Hills Skin Care Institute, it is available in 1 fl oz size.

How to Use

For Dry Skin - apply under your normal day cream and then follow with foundation as usual.

For Oily Complexions - apply directly under foundation.

Verdict

I came across this product on QVC, the shopping channel. It was one of their Today’s Special Value products, and was actually in a set of other Gale Hayman products, which I thought was ideal, because it gave you the chance of trying all these products without the expense of buying the full sized ones, so at least you could see which ones were any good, or not as the case may be!

There are so many products on the market, each claiming to be better than the last, each needing you to remortgage your house, to be able to afford to buy them and then if they don’t work or suit you then end up probably being wasted.

I was very sceptical about trying this product, but with it being a regular-featured product on QVC, I was very tempted to buy it. When it became a TSV item, then this was all the persuasion I needed to buy it as it was certainly alot cheaper to buy it this way than a full sized bottle.

You are supposed to apply the product to your face and then leave it to ‘set’, so you must try and not move your face too much while it is doing this. You can’t feel anything and it acts as an invisible film, protecting your skin. You can actually feel it firming your skin up; I was quite amazed, that it did actually work.

Conclusion
~~~~~~~~~

I was surprised that this product worked, and it did last a long time, but I still think it is alot of money -but I suppose compared to some of the beauty treatments that are available and how much these salons charge for these services, then it must be cheap at half the price.
