Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life
Review of Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life (GameCube) by CGJuk

Advantages: Wonderful, addictive gameplay.
Disadvantages: Lasts a bit too long.

Harvest Moon? You must have heard of it by now. If you have played it, you will know what to expect. If you haven’t, you probably don’t like the genre, or that it is aimed at little children, and you couldn’t possibly play a farming simulation now could you? …..Yes, you could. You take on the role of a rather young child, who’s father has unfortunately passed on, and left you a farm in the charming, ‘Forget-me-not Valley’. Great! You have a new ...
...bustle of the city. Trouble is, you don’t have animals yet! That is where your fathers best friend comes in. The seemingly dejected Takakura. The bushy eye-browed man is willing to help you every step of the way. Everything you need to know about farming will be inside the cranium of this man. He is so keen on making your farm successful, he has bought you a cow. They don’t come cheap y’know! After you have been shown the ins and outs of successful ... Read review

Wooo-oooo-ooo-ooooo!
Review of Pikmin (GameCube) by donnabroom

Advantages: Super Cute, Great Fun, Nice Sound Effects, I could go on and on...
Disadvantages: I could go on and on!

...about Pikmin. ****** Pikmin was released in Europe by Nintendo in June 2002 and is regarded by many as one of the best Gamecube games ever released. Nintendo were clever to bring out games themselves for their own console, (meaning you couldn't buy them for a console you already owned), as playing Pikmin REALLY made me want a Gamecube! In Pikmin you play the part of Olimar, an astronaut who has crashed on a strange planet with an atmosphere of ...
...yourself a Pikmin! The Pikmin are small creatures, (a bit smaller than Olimar who is apparently 4cm tall), which are either red, yellow or blue. Each colour of Pikmin has it's own special abilities, (for instance you can throw yellow Pikmin higher, blue can survive in water and red are more aggressive), and each colour has it's own "onion". You find the red onion straight away but you have to search for the other two colours further afield. As soon ... Read review

My name is Captain Olimar !!
Review of Pikmin by tokenboy

Advantages: One of the few really decent games for the Gamecube
Disadvantages: Bit short.

...names it a "Pikmin". The Pikmin seem to be loyal, and will happily do a variety of tasks for Olimar. Getting the Pikmin to collect coloured pellets and take them back to their coloured, tripod shaped, home will reward you with more pikmin. This method allows you to grow your population. You can also return the bodies of fallen foes to earn extra Pikmin. Using your Pikmin population you must search the landscape for the missing parts of the spaceship. ...
...There are three different coloured Pikmin which are waiting to be found somewhere on the alien planet. These are red, yellow and blue. All of them have different attributes, and so choosing the right colour Pikmin for the job in hand is vital to your success. The red Pikmin are the strongest out of the three, and are impervious to fire. The yellow ones are lightest and can be thrown higher and further than the other two. They can also carry "bomb ... The Darkness Comes
Review of Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GameCube) by Jaster

Advantages: Graphics and somewhat complex level design
Disadvantages: You can't figure the game out till the end

...the original resident evil games. Eternal Darkness also uses a Magick system in which you have to find and combine different Rune stones to make spells and in turn the spells are used to do a wide range of tasks from setting off traps to opening hidden doors. When playing Eternal Darkness you will at times feel like you are playing a fusion of runescape and resident evil. What I noticed while playing this game is thatit is a real sdventure game. The ...
