Tak + Juju = Fun

Advantages: Graphics, Sound. Nearly everything.
Disadvantages: Can get Annoying and Linear

Tak and the power of the juju is a hugely entertaining experience. Using animals to help overcome challenges and obstacles tak provides a fresh scope to platform games. This has to be one of the best family games I have ever played. We got this and played it well before we ever saw the film of the same name. But having seen the film, I can say that the game follows the same plot as the film. One to four players can play the game. A great team game.

Advantages: Good strategy and teamwork elements.
Disadvantages: Can be quite difficult in places.

A great game. Especially when played with friends. Set in the Gulf War. You control a 4 man squad (US or British) with orders to carry out a number of stretegic strikes in the area. Missons generally involve destroying scud missle launchers, destroying anti-aircraft missles and such. As single player. You can switch to any team member you wish. Each with their own skills. Review of Conflict Desert Storm (GameCube)

Decent game, but not up to usual Mario standards

Advantages: Good range of characters, original
Disadvantages: Repetitive

Being a big fan of Mario, I found this game quite disappointing. It does have its strenghs: it is full of original ideas such as the way the 2D graphics are cleverly used to give Mario new moves and there are a good range of characters to pick up, each with their own moves. It also has a decent story line with some good humour and several side quests to keep you busy. For me, however, the game is let down by the new fighting system (very pokemon-esq) ...
...I also felt that the game was not taxing enough, there are very few parts of it that really challenge you, the rest is simply playing through the game without ever really feeling in danger. This is certainly not a bad game, but in my opinion is not up to the usual standard of Mario games, and is probably better suited to younger gamers. ...
