Don't hold it, shape your hands around it !
Review of Microsoft Xbox Controller S - game pad by
ps2gamer890
Advantages: Strong, well built, reliable, better than first Xbox controller, built in gadget to separate it from console in a slip-up.
Disadvantages: Too big for average hand size, heavy, impractical for RPG's
If the gamecube's controller is a anorexic, purple oddity, then this is the king size man one! While hugely smaller than the awful first gen controller which was the size-of-a-baby's-head and looked like a big black whale, the Controller S still suffers from a slight weight problem. The main problem is that it is rather flawed. The sixties/seventies style, seemingly unergonomic PS1 controller was so good, way better than it should of been. Buttons ... ...were where they should of been. It was such a good design they used it, as old fashioned as it was, for the next generation. The controller S, however, is bigger than it has too be. Did anyone ever complain that the PS controller was too big / small,
no, because it fitted everyone. I did get used to it eventually, and to really like it, but not enough thought has been put into it.
What about small hands? are the two triggers very good for anything ...

bigger is not always better.
Review of Microsoft Xbox Game Controller - game pad by
JAGGER2K
Advantages: vibration, pressure sensitive buttons.
Disadvantages: The pad is HUGE!!, buttons are oddly placed.
...it being to big that Microsoft redesigned it.
FEATURES
This pad is super durable, I have dropped this pad on many occasions as it has not failed me,
All the buttons except the start and back button are pressure sensitive this basically means the harder you press the button the faster your accelerating is in a driving game, or the harder you punch in a fighting game.
WHATS THE DIFFRENCE The reason Microsoft changed this pad was for a lot of reasons
... ...had a hard time holding it let alone reaching all the buttons,
2, the buttons layout was not very good and has now been changed in the new styled pad and the buttons are now gamer friendly as well as the size.
Over this entire pad is good for somebody who has large hands but not really for the average gamer. ...

Saitek p220, the god of budget joypads
Review of Saitek P220 Digital Pad game pad by
oxygenuk
Advantages: Price, Buttons
Disadvantages: no start button
...all that we have the saitek logo. Overall the whole joypad fits nicely into any hands big or small.
Well done to Saitek for a truly outstanding budget priced controller which has made me very happy.
If your looking for a budget controller dont go for brands you never heard of. Go for either Saitek or Logitech controllers, my choice will most probably always be Saitek though! ...

Great Wireless pad
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - game pad by
mcicp19
Advantages: Wireless, dont have to get up to turn on/off console
Disadvantages: Runs on battteries so you need a plug and charge kit really
Ever since getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was 9 years old I've had a bit of a obsession with consoles and gaming. Having gone through a massive list of different machines and accessories over the years (such as the SNES, Megadrive, Mega CD, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2 and more) I've used many different controllers of different shapes and sizes. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller is one of the top ... ...and grey design with coloured buttons, the wireless feature is a priceless addition to gaming. No more people tripping over wires and yanking your console from the stand, no more spending time unraveling knots before packing your console away to take elsewhere, add to that the feature you can turn your 360 on or off just with the press of a button on the controller and we have one of the best pads on the market.
It may not be as comfortable as the ...
