Great gamepad
Advantages: Ergonomically designed, good looking, functional Disadvantages: Hard to find now
This is my first review for a while so please give me a little bit of slack. Only joking everyone. Well I decided to dig out some old PC games the other day for a play. I found some real gems as well let me tell you. Well I popped them in the DVD drive and booted them up. The only problem was that after about ten minutes I had the worst case of wrist cramp ever. This was due to using the keyboard for the complicated controls. Due to the fact these ... ...joystick. So, I went hunting and I found this gem of a controller in one of my cupboards. I can still remember where I purchased it from as well. It was Electronics Boutique for £20. This store is now called GAME in the UK. Well I wasn't sure whether or not it would still work with me now using Windows Vista and anyone knows who is using this operating system that driver problems soon become your nemesis with older hardware peripherals. Well the ...

New at your local museum......
Advantages: Robust, Last ages, Disadvantages: Chunky, Serial Port
...a long way since this Gravis Gamepad Pro...
The feel of this gamepad is chunky and un-comfortable, and to make things worse, it uses a serial port...not the flexibility and speed of USB.
When plugging in your game pad into the serial port (chuckles) at the back of you PC, you have to install the correct driver for the gamepad to work in Windows. If you do not have the CD, the gravis website is the best place for you to start as they have all the ... ...have to restart your PC, calibrate the controller and your off!
The controller works fine in all games, and was mostly used for the FIFA series, lasting for about 2 of the series, which is 2 years for those that dont follow football games!
Eventually, the "R1" button (top right hand side button, shown on the picture) broke, and then the gamepad went down hill with the D-pad breaking. On taking the controller apart, it was clear that it was just ...

Funky pad!
Advantages: Good response, value for money Disadvantages: No USB connection
...Nintendo consoles. In fact, this Gravis Gamepad bears an almost uncanny similarity to a Super Nintendo game controller!
The controls on the Gamepad are split into two sections, on the left hand side there is an 8 way controller and on the right hand side, four buttons. The 8 way controller can be used by the thumb, or by using a mini joystick (supplied with the pad) which can be screwed into a hole in the middle of the controller. The Gamepad also ... ...performed very well over the last two years. So not bad for a tenner really!
Conclusion
If you are looking for simple, but very decent quality and value for money game pad, you could do a lot worse that checking the Gravis Gamepad out!
Thanks for reading! ...

Gets the job done.
Advantages: Cheap, strong and easy to use. Disadvantages: Few features.
If you want a joystick that only has a few buttons and one that is easy to use, this is the one for you.
Here are the Product Specifications -Symmetrical design for right- and left-handed players -2 rapid response fire buttons for quick reaction -Center-mounted rotary-throttle for realistic speed
-control in driving and flying games -Compatible with Windows or DOS games During a game, you do not want to be fiddling about with a joystick trying ... ...joysticks these days. This joystick eliminates that problem with its simpleness of design, and best of all, its low price.
To be honest, is it really not neccessary to have too many buttons. The only thing that this joystick is really lacking in is the fact that you cannot turn it to act as a rudder in flying simulation games.
It is the only joystick I use now (I used to use the sidewinder, but it was a bit tedious using it, and it was 6 times ...

Excellent controller...
Advantages: Excellent responsiveness, easy to use Disadvantages: Will cost to replace batteries often, can be pricey to buy
The wireless controller is the game pad accompanying the next genration consoles today and the XBOX 360 controller is an all-round excellent product. The controller is very simple to use and although you won't need it, the distance from which it is still responsive is very impressive. When playing your favourite games, the controller is very responsive to multi-button actions and will never give you any problems. When i think of controllers i have ... ...remember getting frustrated at the fact that the trigger buttons very quickly became stiff but i can't say this has ever been a problem with this next generation controller. As for robustness, i have dropped the controller a couple of times with absolutely no effect being noticed on either the controller's appearance or it's responsiveness.
The two main problems i have found with the controller are the price tag and the battery life. Fortunately, ...
