Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System
Review of Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System - joystick, throttle by ardleyf

Advantages: Sense Of Proffesionalism, Very Smooth, Great Grip and Control
Disadvantages: Not Very Portable, As State Of The Art it comes at a high price

The Saitek X52 Pro Flight Control System is state of the art in flight control systems. As a frequent user of flight simulator the saitek X52 has made my flying even more enjoyable with the control smoothness and joystick re-centereing. In total the amount of different switches is 30, however as there are three mode settings you can have up to 90 button configurations. Installation is quick and simple, and runs as soon as connected via USB. In total ...
...instead of the usual 3/4 on older joysticks. The metal material on both the throttle and joystick gives a sense of proffesionalism and the rubberised surface on the throttle and joystick handle give a good firm grip. I would recommend this to anyone who has a serious interest in flight simulation both civil and combat. Even though it's expensive it is definitely worth the money! ... Read review

Saitek X52 Joystick & Throttle Controller
Review of Saitek X52 Flight Control System - joystick, throttle by kusarininja

Advantages: Highly configurable, a flight sim buffs dream
Disadvantages: Configuration takes time.

...profiles are very few but Saitek do supply some on the cd plus a few on their website. Loading a profile into the software is straightforward and you can profle the stick direct from the editor. You can also load a profile from the systray icon for speedy access. Within the Game controller control panel you cannot calibrate the stick as there is no need. It auto calibrates itself. You can test all buttons and axes functionality. Deadzones can also ...
...adjusted in 2 stages as can the MFD. You can also adjust the time and settings. I use this stick primarily for Flight Simulator 2004 and X3. I have found it to be faultless within these games. Final comments This stick is a must for the flight/space simulator who needs a lot of control within their hands. Configuration of the stick can take time but it is time well spent when you have eveything how you want it. I paid £80 which may seem pricey ... Read review

Saite X36F + X35 Throttle
Review of Saitek X36 Flight Controller - joystick, throttle by apestyler

Advantages: Solid build, responsive, vast array of buttons, highly customisable
Disadvantages: Can be tricky to install, programming buttons can be a nightmare!

...of a nightmare. According to Saitek the USB version of this stick does not require calibration however in my experience simulators such as X-Plane DO require you to calibrate it otherwise you can have undesirable effects such as the y-axis (up down) being permaently up. In flight this is an extremely responsive stick for both combat sims (Such as Lock On) and non combat sims (such as MS Flight Simulator). One issue you should look out for is that ...
...fix this turn the throttle upside down and stick a cross head screw driver into the hole marked Friction, and move it to + for more friction and - for less. Apart from the tedious setup this flightstick is still by far the best on the market it is well built and will last you a lifetime. The only feature I miss from it is Force Feedback. ... Read review

useless fragile wheel
Review of Thrustmaster Ferrari Universal Challenge 5-in-1 Racing Wheel - wheel and pedals set by xYYYYYYYYYYY

Advantages: very precise and small, stays fixed almost perfectly on the table
Disadvantages: absurdly fragile, only suitable for small children

...like it was tested at thrustmaster by small children or a very delicate lady. I have a lot of experience with PC racing wheels and racing games. I have a MS FF wheel for about at least 6 years now and although its not very precise and doesn't fix well on the table, is resistant and its still working. Thanks God i bought that MS wheel at that time ! I also have a logitech momo racing wheel which although is precise and robust, is assembled with factory ... Read review

Mixed review
Review of NINTENDO Nunchuck Controller - game pad by brownieiscool

Advantages: Cheap, sensative
Disadvantages: fidly stick

Included in my Nintendo Wii pack was a nunchuck and originally I didnt have any games that used it apart from Wii sport. Now I have and I have to say I give it mixed reviews. With a horse racing game it is very sensitave so easy to guide the horse and its simple to use yet with my brother pro evolution soccer it isnt very accuratle when controling the footballer. I think this is due to the fact that with the horse game you move the whole nunchuck ... Read review
