Review of Microsoft SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel - wheel by
jamesadyson
Advantages: High standard of manufacture, good range of features, easy install, and recognised by many games instantly.
Disadvantages: Limted to USB connectivity, "profiles" feature could have been expanded
Having recently become something of an online shopping addict, the MS Sidewinder Precision Race Wheel was my latest purchase. I had some spare cash after Christmas, and so I thought that I would see what I could get for my money on the Internet. I found that I had a fair amount of vehicle racing games installed on my computer, so what better than to purchase a steering wheel for my computer to gain the full benefit from these previous purchases. ... ...Feedback 2 Wheel, although I didn't think that it was worth shelling out nearly double the price of the normal wheel just for the force feedback experience. After deciding on the MS SideWinder Precision Racing Wheel, I set about finding the cheapest price. I found a great deal on the Internet, which allowed me to get £20 off my purchase from buy.com, therefore the wheel only cost me £25 inc. delivery! I thought this was a great price for something ...

Great Wireless pad
Review of Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Controller - game pad by
mcicp19
Advantages: Wireless, dont have to get up to turn on/off console
Disadvantages: Runs on battteries so you need a plug and charge kit really
Ever since getting the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) when I was 9 years old I've had a bit of a obsession with consoles and gaming. Having gone through a massive list of different machines and accessories over the years (such as the SNES, Megadrive, Mega CD, Neo Geo, Dreamcast, N64, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2 and more) I've used many different controllers of different shapes and sizes. The Xbox 360 Wireless controller is one of the top ... ...and grey design with coloured buttons, the wireless feature is a priceless addition to gaming. No more people tripping over wires and yanking your console from the stand, no more spending time unraveling knots before packing your console away to take elsewhere, add to that the feature you can turn your 360 on or off just with the press of a button on the controller and we have one of the best pads on the market.
It may not be as comfortable as the ...

Genius MaxFighter F-23 - joystick
Review of Genius MaxFighter F-23 - joystick by
123fearnley
Advantages: Easy to set-up/use, great value for money.
Disadvantages: Slightly lacking in design, and not very durable.
A great value, entry level joystick, for users just entering simulation/gaming, that don't want to spend too much on an all singing-all dancing joystick.
The Max Fighter F-23 has all the controls that you should ever need. The axes are precise enough, with an easily found 'neutral' spot in the middle. All the buttons are easily in reach, and have a relatively substantial feel to them. The Hat-Switch is very useful for changing view settings on the ... ...anything.
My only complaint with this product, is that the throttle and rudder controls have no easily findable 'neutral', so, finding the medium control setting can be quite hard.
Also, after a lot of VERY heavy use, the spring for the X-Axis snapped, but I fixed this quite easily with an elastic band.
The Joystick was plug and play, and registered immediately with Windows Vista. ...

The best wireless Gamecube controller around!
Review of NINTENDO GAMECUBE Controller WaveBird Wireless - game pad by
echo786
Advantages: Extremely reliable, traditional GC button layout, fits snugly
Disadvantages: No rumble, frequency co-ordination with multiple wavebirds can get a bit fiddly
...design and reliability that the Nintendo Wavebird still manages to hold its own. Pros
The Wavebird, being the Official Nintendo wireless controller, is one of the most reliable controllers you will ever find. It is extremely sturdy, and breaking it is really a mission. The only possible problem is that the rubber on the left analogue stick *can* come off in some circumstances, but save physically chewing on it or it being scratched by a cat, it ... ...very minor issue however.
Nintendo have also stopped making these now so the price of these controllers are only going up. They are available in two colours - grey and platinum. Platinum is my personaly favourite, but were never released in the UK so you will likely need to import them from the US if you want to get your hands on them.
Overall
They are excellent wireless controllers, and extremely reliable. The introduction of the Wii has only ...
