gamestation exploits its customers

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: exploitive sales practices, misleading advertising

I used to be an avid fan of the gamestation chain but a recent experience with the company has left be cold. I went in to buy a wii fit which they claim to have in stock and for sale at £69.99. Gamestation totally refuse to sell the wii fit by itself at the advertised £69.99, They insist you buy an additional £50 - £60 worth of additional "bundled" products. The problem is the so called wii fit bundle consists of a non nintendo product, and 2 software ...
...This is tantamount to extortion. At this time of year when store supplies are short and people are desperately trying to fufil peopels christmas lists and money is short for a store to exploit customers like this is disgraceful. When pressed on the issue a spokesman for the store summed it up with "we have them, and if you want one you buy what we want to sell it with or you dont get it" ...

Dissapointed at such a big brand

Advantages: Huge selection, reasonable prices
Disadvantages: Bad Delivery

When I wanted a Christmas present for my (almost) 3 year old niece, the first thing that came to mind was Toys \'R\' Us, however I don't think it will again in a hurry. The online store is incredibly easy to navigate, and they have a huge variety of stock, probably 2 to 3 times more than you would find in even the biggest Toys \'R\' Us store in the country. Horrible experience trying to order a simple game: Trackmania

Advantages: supposedly easy to use website
Disadvantages: online order system DID NOT work, account charged with no product/service delivery, no response

I attempted to purchase and download a game from this company, and after trying four seperate times to get the transaction to work, however, each time, the Metaboli web page kept saying 'you payment has not been accepted.' Anyway, as I was typing up an email to supportdl.focus@gamesplanet.com to find out why my Visa was not working, my wife decided to double check our bank, to be sure we did indeed have enough to cover the charge, and lo and behold, ...
...the four 'failed attempts'. Now this hurts, BAD...times are tight these days, and roughly $60 is a TREMENDOUS amount of money in my household. Our being out this money at this time is now causing undue stress here, and this should be a VERY easy problem to resolve. I've been a customer of kays for around 4 years now, and have, to my shame, kept some balance with the company for most of that time! Kays is a typical catalogue with womenswear, menswear, jewellery and homeware. The prices are slightly more expensive than the high street, but this is offset by the fact you pay monthly interest free, or you can pay over 100 weeks for an interest rate of around 30%, so is to be avoided if possible!
