Great gadget, perfect for Christmas!

Advantages: Great fun, portable, handy internet access, useful camera.
Disadvantages: Camera's resolution isn't great, games are a bit too expensive, no GBA slot.

Good, but later improved...

Advantages: Touch screen, wireless technology, backwards compatible with GBA games, two screens.
Disadvantages: Screen wasn't that bright (DS Lite was brighter), would not connect to network protected with WPA

Gameboy Advance To The Future!

Advantages: It's in colour, duh!
Disadvantages: Quiet, no cool style tretris like the original Gameboy..

Although it would seem to be an old piece of kit now-a-days, I can't help but wonder what I would have been like without having a GameBoy Advance to help me through those boring airport terminals, or ridiculously long coach journeys. Of course, it was only on holiday that I used the GameBoy - using it any other time just didn't seem right! At the time, it was a magnificent mesh of modern and old, the mixture of new colours and shapes with the old ...
...mine is stowed away, waiting for a day to reappear, and it is still in working order. The graphics, sound and games may not be much, but they are fun to get nostalgic with! This is definitely going to be one of those retro toys to return in a few years time, and when that time comes, I'll be there waiting with my tacky plastic backlight, and interchangeable-various-colours-covers to auction away.. ;] ...
