So much fun! Advantages: fun and entertaining Disadvantages: fast paced and frustrating ...days later. The Bop it is a hand held game which costs £17.99. It looks a bit like a UFO and definitely wouldn't look out of place if it was in the sky at night. There is a big 'push' button in the middle with two arms coming out of it. On one there is a wheel that spins and a knob to pull and on the other there is bulb to twist and a flap to flick. When you switch the game on there is a computerized voice that tells you to either 'flick it', 'spin ... ...to simply find the right arm and follow the instructions in time with a beat of music. If you take too long or get confused then it's game over! I find that the voice of the person is a bit annoying but the main thing is that it's loud so you can't be a bad sport and make excuses by saying 'I didn't hear what it was saying'. That was my dad's excuse! Pass the Bomb! Advantages: great game, really gets you thinking Disadvantages: you can be made to look v.stupid! ...round and it was called Pass the Bomb! Sounds ominous I know (don't worry its not a real bomb!). Well, it was great fun and very different to the usual type of games which go on for hours and people lose interest. The game starts by drawing a card from the pack which is shown to all players. Each card has letters on it and can be two or more letters. A dice is then rolled which tells all players whether the letters shown by the card must be at the ... ...if you can! I though pass the bomb was a really good game, because it can reduce people with the longest of vocabularies into mumbling wrecks! Pass the bomb can be played with any number of people, so long as there is more than two and is suggested for players aged twelve and above. The game retails at around £25.00, which I think is good value. You don't require a table or board to play, so in theory you could play wherever you wanted. Down the snakes, up the ladders. Advantages: Fun to kill some time. Disadvantages: See review Snakes & Ladders is a simple game which children enjoy to play anywhere, anytime. HOW TO PLAY You begin at the "Start" square, and roll the dice and move your counter that many spaces. The first one to get to the "End" sqaure, is the winner. It's not all simple, because if you land on a snake, you have to go down to the square where the snake trail ends. But, if you're lucky, and land on the bottom of a ladder, you go up to the square where the ... ...VALUE FOR MONEY I brought my Snakes & Ladders game for £3.99. This is still about the average price and I think it's good value for money. OVERALL The game does get boring after a bit, but if you have no other games to play, it's fun! ... connect 4 Advantages: great classic game Disadvantages: boring after a while ...to be the first to connect four counters together. Players take it in turns to use the yellow and red counters and placing them into the grid to form a straight line of four in a row, vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Who ever gets the four in a row wins the game. Each player takes it in turns and needs to think strategically as to where to put there next counter to help them to get four in a row, but to also think about if they need to block ... ...a great game. Connect 4 is a game that is great for children or adults and with its great retail value of under ten pounds this game is worth every penny. You can find it on Amazon for the great price of £7.00. The only downfall to this game is that it gets a little boring, so you cannot play it for hours on end but I love playing it regularly for short spaces of time. to bounce or not bounce bounce tigger Advantages: if your kids like to play with the packaging, this is the game for them!
