...when they manufacture these goods in third world countries for a few quid?

Their product range is bland, and the clothes are ill-fitting - and don't even think about a job there unless you have model looks.

I know most clothes shops do the same, but the Gap kinda rub it in your face - they spend millions employing Hollywood to advertise their product, charge enormous amounts for a pair of jeans, and make no justification for the fact that these clothes cost next to nothing to make. They have been well publicised for their use of sweatshops - but they don't care.

Well I do - I don't shop there - it's totally up to you though if you do - but I hate the thought that some 14 year old child stitched the pocket on my trousers.

You need more info, include examples and make it more personal. Good basics. Craig.

I understand why you are cautious about Gap and their poor Corporate Social Responsibility and all the publicity that surrounded it, and I am the same. However Gap have begun a program of reforming their supply chain and changing where they buy from. One can argue that they only did it after public pressure and this is true, but doing it they are. I am always pleased to hear of people voting with their feet, but take a care, it's surprising who corporations decide to sue! An interesting debate, if you decide to fill out your op I'll be happy to re-read.
