Temping Work - In Australia
Working abroad is definitely a challenge, well to me it has been. I decided to take a gapyear and come over here to work for a year. I had just entered a new country, got an apartment so the next obvious step was to look for work. I went to recruitment agencies (see review for more detail) to help me find work in such a big city.
First place I arrived was Sydney the most popular and well known city in Australia. I had already applied for a working holiday visa at home which meant I was entitled to work in the country legally. You need to have a visa which entitles you to work. Next step was to get a tax file number, without this you will not be given a job as you need it for tax purposes. This can be done online.

it is great, firstly they are giving away a free gapyear to australia and throwing in your own backpack, sleeping bag and loads of goodies.
there is a wonderfull message board where you can ask any questions and get the answers back from fellow traverlers.

information on how to save and how to look after you money.
also a chat line and loads of other great stuff you can even subscribe to the gapyear magazine!!!

Go For IT
I think a gapyear is an excellent idea, I took two and I think I really appreciated from them, now their more opportunities than ever to do what you want. There are some excellent ideas, and they cover the majority of areas people want to go in when they decide they need a break from studying
I went to India and spent six months teaching English, it was great, I learnt so much, I had some really good times, and some bad times,, all of which I believe have made me a better person. I think if I didn’t have the break I wouldn’t have appreciated my university degree. You come back with so much more ideas.
The downside is that you don’t always think you should go back, you live the easy life, working and earning and having a good time, that you think what is the point. That is when reality hits home ...
