Beware!
Advantages: strong blowing capacity Disadvantages: totally failing design
Good suction and very good blowing capacity but 100% failing design of collection bag attachment! The latch to hold the bag is not resisting the strong pressure caused by the blower and the bag comes off after a minute or even a few seconds, regardless the volume of leaves that are collected. The very frustrating result is that the bag detaches from the body while spreading the collected leaves with high pressure over the garden! Changing from the ...

Say goodbye to slimy leaves
Advantages: strong suction Disadvantages: Quite bulky and heavy to handle
This simple machine is designed to suck up light weight garden rubbish, and deposit it in the sturdy bag supplied. Items such as leaves, small sticks, dead grass, etc. are pulled up swiftly, including those with dew, rain and even wet soil on them. This is where the BV 1000 is better than others in its class, as it picks up most wet and dry garden rubbish, compressing it into its sack, which can be emptied easily. After first trying this, I was extatic, ... ...with no mess at all! The tiny holes in the sack allow any squeezed water to escape, but are too small to allow anything else out. The machine works efficiently in all weather conditions, although picks up dry rubbish quicker. The large nozzle on the end ensures not just grass and leaves can be picked up but also sticks, dead flower heads, and man-made rubbish (such as crisp packets, etc.). My garden looked clean and well maintained with just one ...

You may be disappointed with this product
Advantages: None, I'm afraid Disadvantages: See main text
I have a relatively small garden. All I wanted was something to quickly suck up those leaves in Autumn. When I bought this product , I was expecting that this laborious process would be made much more efficient, quicker and easier.
Regrettably, I was wrong ! In my opinion, this machine make the whole process 10 times harder ! I was left with a lawn still full of scattered leaves and I was exhausted with my arms about to drop off. I felt that I should ... ...and then scooped them up like before.
In my opinion, this product is not value for money. It tends to blow the leaves everywhere and then doesn't vacumn them particularly well. I was left most deflated !
Although this review may be at odds with the others (why I originally bought it !), I have heard similar views from my friends and colleagues. ...

It's looks strange and it sucks... what more do you want
Advantages: Simple to use, saves many hours of raking and great price Disadvantages: the strap can become a little uncomfortable
...being from the well established Flymo range…. This rather strange looking and very bright orange device has saved me many many hours in raking time and has kept me from falling from the tree of sanity with my battle against the dreaded brown leaves from hell.
** What is this vacuum cleaner which can be used outside..?
* It has a small engine with a lot of power, being 2700w and an air speed of 212km/h
* It has a detachable collection bag ... ...and how brilliantly designed this flymo version is, even if it look like a pelicans head with a deranged orange beak and a floppy gullet sack, but as your only intending to clean your garden, and not strut your stuff down a catwalk, then the looks shouldn’t matter at all.
What used to take me a good hour and a bit, and many disgruntled words to the sky gods, now takes me a matter of ten, maybe fifteen minutes with the knowledge that Mother Nature ...

Wickes Sucks - But Then It's Supposed To!
Advantages: Cheap, powerful, easy to use Disadvantages: Short lead for my purposes, flimsy attachment arrangement for bag
...approval that I discovered the Wickes Garden Vacuum at slightly under £43 on their web-site. All I had to do was trump up a reason for making the order come to over forty-five quid, and it would also be delivered for free, so a totally irrelevant packet of AA batteries was added on at £2.47.
Woe was me - after going all through the purchase process, I got a final message to say that my transaction had hit a snag on the ordering computer and that ... ...I got an e-mail from Wickes informing that they had 'good' news for me. The breakdown of their transaction computer had now been sorted out, and EVEN BETTER, my goods were already in the post, although owing to a lack of stock, I'd be rebated with £2.47 as the batteries were not being included. Faced with the prospect of being a 'two garden vac' man (the Flymo was also 'in the post'), I could at least console myself with the thought that collectively, ...
