Firstly let me just say upfront that I love the shed now it's built. I ordered the 10x12 and it was delivered in just 4 days from order by a great delivery guy. There are some things which need improving though. I ordered an additional opening window and it came with no hinges hinges, screws, or chain like the included opening window. Also I was supplied with a Light Truss instead of the Heavy Truss which the 10x12 instructions say I should have. ...
...heavy truss. The roof joists run to the edge of the roof panels which means you cannot make use of the tongue and groove in the roof panels as the joists butt up against each other. The roof itself did seem a little 'gappy' in places but once all the felt was on it wasn't a problem. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED WITH GARDEN BUILDINGS DIRECT. NO RESPONSE TO EMAILS. NO ONE ANSWER PHONE CALLS (IF YOU CAN GET THROUGH). NORMALLY PUT ON HOLD FOR AGES THEN DISCONNECTED. KEPT WAITING FOR SIX WEEKS AND STILL NO DELIVERY. INFORMED THREE TIMES THAT ITEM WOULD BE DELIVERED........STILL NOTHING!!!! NEXT STEP....TRADING STANDARDS!!!!! ...

We had an excellent experience with these guys. We ordered online on Monday, and had an emailed confirmation the same day. Yesterday, we had an email from the delivery company confirming the delivery details. Today (Friday) the shed arrived in perfect condition with all fixtures and fittings, the driver was pleasant and helpful. The actual shed is exactly as advertised - went up easily. We took time over getting the ground prepared and a cement base put down - well worth it. I'd happily use them again. People only tend to write reviews when they've had bad experience, and I've seen a few about Garden Buildings Direct, so I wanted to put another perspective on record. ...

I ordered a Billy-Oh Apex shed from them and wish I hadnt. The shed arrived damaged - no instructions - ripped roofing felt - not enough screws - broken panels and trim. So far GBD (which is a covername of another company) have refused to replace the panels or even talk to me about it - BEWARE, their customer services number is a PREMIUM RATE contact number - you will be held in a queue and charged for the privilege for a long time. I am now going through my credit card company for a refund ...

I've had the worst experience with this company, firstly the website is rubbish I couldn't ever check my order status. Once I had sorted out a delivery date I took the day off work, but when the lorry came they hadn't even put my order on it!!! Then when they did deliver it, it was broken, each little clip that connects the sides were snapped, which makes it impossible to put it together, so basically it was worthless. ...had to email over pictures as proof?!?! What a joke!! The item was faulty upon delivery and to actually speak to anyone you have to dial a national rate number (0871) which you will be on hold for at least 20 minutes listening to awful hold music. Trust me if you have issues and need to call, be prepared for long waiting times and rubbish service. I finally got my money back after one month from placing my order. One star is being very generous ...
