Size matters!

Advantages: Relatively inexpensive; shreds thinner stems well; solidly built and good looking.
Disadvantages: Can't shred thicker stems; jams too easily; fiddly collection bag.

JCB GS1800 Garden Shredder-No Excuse Now To Not Get Gardening

Advantages: Cuts down garden waste immensely.
Disadvantages: Doesn't work so well with brambles. May tangle.
