I myself have this Flymo Power Trim 500.Its very easy to use very light weight .It works really good untill the cord underneath breaks it is a bit hard to put the cord back on to use it again.I myself use this Power Trim 500 the only fault i have with it the cord breaks about 5 times every time i use it.And it takes so long to fix it again to reuse it for to finish your garden.I have had mine for 1 year now and bought 3 reals of cord i would be cheaper ...

I bought this product from homebase for £17.99 as a low end edge trimmer to do the outside of the garden by the log roll I have laid. There was one other which was cheaper but I decided to go one up from that.
It comes in a compact box and is very easy to assemble having three pieces. It has a very short handle, hence being called mini, this is fine for me as I am fairly short. However for the taller gradener I can see it would be a bit of a pain, ... ...It uses the traditional string turning fast to cut and so does a fairly good job on medium length grass, I dont think it would be so good on overgrown grass.
It is lightweight and easy to use with a chunky handle. One criticism is that the cord is very short and I don't have a very big garden so if I have to use an extension I am sure others would too. It is the usual bright orange colour you would expect from fymo but unlike some of their hover ...

I bought the Flymo XLT3000 from Ideal World TV in Spring 2008...!
From the beginning I had starting problems, then in spring 2009 after only one seasons use I couldn't get my XLT. 3000 Started at all and I was told it had had its days..... it was worn out..!!

What does "Half Crank" mean..??
Well in simple terms it means the crank shaft is only supported by one bearing, not two..!! Hence the terminology "Half"
It doesnt take a Rocket Scientist to understand what stresses there are on just one bearing..... swing a heavy weight on the end of some string around your head and you'll get to know what stresses a half crank engine goes through.... One can certainly feel a high level ...

The Bosch Isio is a cordless electric shear set, which incorporates a blade for hedge trimming and a blade for edging the lawn with.
It has a 3.6v lithium battery which gives it a running time of 40 minutes. Bosch reckon it takes 5 hours to charge from a flat battery, but I've never let it run totally flat so I haven't tested that aspect. When recharging it, a green light comes on on the front of the handset to let you know it is charging. When ... ...with manual shears. However, Bosch have come up with a solution for this and have produced a long handle that can be purchased separately, so the lawn edger can be used standing up. The solution I've come up with, is to encourage other family members to undertake the task, lol!

1 An Interesting Invention.
The first Garden Groom was the product of a Graham Wilson who had done the manly job of cutting the hedges for most of his life.
