It really is very easy to grow garlic in the garden . It is a plant that responds to planting out during October through to late December . You must choose the sunniest site in your garden however if you are to succeed and end up with worthwhile results . Garlic is not a plant for the shade . Dig in well rooted manure or compost beforehand and plant the individual cloves six inches apart so that the pointed end is facing upwards and is just buried beneath the soil . They are ideal in organic gardens for warding off pests and diseases in other plants . Harvest your crop in August and don't forget to save some cloves for replanting and starting the whole process again .
Advantages: Dried marjoram can be stored for ages in the kitchen cupboard Disadvantages: Sometimes the fresh version can be sold out in the supermarket
