Agree with most of what the previous reviewer said but he left out a couple of very important drawbacks.
1. It really isn't very accurate when you take it out of town, navigating for the first time to our friends country house it told us we had arrived approx a quarter of a mile from the actual destination. (using postcode with house number entry) This failing was repeated many times travelling to other countryside destinations.
2. its database of hotels/bars/resaurants/interesting sites etc doesn't contain even half of the actual destinations that exist in the real world.
I have been told this is not Garmins problem but is caused by the maps they are forced to use?
In terms of a recommendation, given the opportunity i WOULDN'T have bought this item had i been aware of its ACTUAL performance.
Some very helpful points. (Tip: avoid making reference other reviews, reviews should be complete in themselves, so express your own opinions in full even if other reviewers have covered these points - you will gain higher ratings). Well done. Welcome to Ciao.
