I bought one of these a couple of months ago.
I reserved it online and picked it up from Comets the following day(they offered an extra discount for doing this) and it told me they had it in stock and it was mine if I turned up and payed for it within 3 day's.
I collected it the next day and in about five minutes I had it up and running and telling me the way home.
It is so easy to use,updates are download from the website through a simple peace of software (you just need to download onto your P.C. from the website) and the usb cable that comes with it.
It is also supplied with all you need to mount on you windscreen or dashboard.and it comes with a leather carry case and a little cleaning cloth for the screen.
The original voice was american female,this can be changed to english female on download as can your vehicle to suit yourself if you want more than a little blue pyramid,these are a bit limited in veriety at the moment but I go online with it about once a fortnight and theres usually more options available.
it has a security feature which requires a pin number entry if you turn this feature on.You need to stand outside to do this as it requires you to lock in a security postion into it as well in case you forget your pin,and it needs to have clear satelite reception.But it's worth it when if stolen or lost it becomes useless to anyone else.
I also use it for geocaching (a type of treasure hunting) when I walk my dogs.the battery when charged lasts for up to 8hrs. Theres a link on the Garmin website to this if you want more info.
Great if you have active kids to entertain and geocaches are everywhere. Ive found 10 within half an hours walk from my house.These positions can be downloaded to your set from the website (and don't forget to print off the clues).
Also from your pc you can download/change or delete mp3 and picture files.Athough the internal speakers are a bit tinny in the car but not as bad outdoors.you can also add files from a SD card as in most digital cameras.
Another simple but usefull display feature (for me anyway) is it tells you your ETA so you know if youre late for work even if you dont need directions.
Although this is my first owned (not borrowed) sat nav I've used others and think I can happily recomend this unit to anyone.
