The Garmin 760 that I have came from Halfords and cost £250 the sales people in Halfords got it out of the display cabinet and showed me how to use it and all of the features it has, they also offered to install it for free which they did for me when I bought it.

It also shows other useful information such as time, how long it is going to take to get there, what time you will arrive and how many miles it is to your destination. So you will never be late for a meeting again and can plan routes with this amazing device.

The battery life is really good with this system and the manufactures say it lasts 4-6 hours I keep mine plugged into the car charger a lot of the time but I have known it last at least four and a half hours on its battery life and still have more left.

I found the instruction manual really good even though the sales person in Halfords explained most of the features there was still more to be found out from reading the instruction manual. It is well laid out text that described the features and settings perfectly. It also has sections on problem solving all though I did not have any problems with mine so did not need to use this section.
It is a really reliable device that I use almost daily now it does occasionally loose a bit of the road I rang and asked Garmin about this and they said they do have updates and that sometimes new roads are built before they get chance to update their systems. The device is quick to start but some of the software can take some time to load all though it does eventually work and runs very well and accurately. There is also an in built safety camera feature with the Garmin Nuvi 760 Sat Nav which warns you in plenty of time about fixed speed cameras and mobile speed van areas. This comes with 30 free days subscription after that there is a small monthly fee for this option.
I am very happy with this product and recommend it to others as a reliable guide across the country that makes sure you always know where you are going so if you are looking for a Satellite Navigation why not consider one of this brand and model.

I've owned my NUVI 760 for 2 months. It's a great product. Accurate mapping together with a clear wide screen display. I've had the unit hard wired to my car along with the TMC traffic info facility which was wired up to my car's aerial. A wire aerial stuck to the windscreen on suckers looks a bit tacky to me! I'm surprised that GArmin don't offer this as an option.
With FM transmission & Bluetooth, you can have navigation voice commands and mobile phone calls through your vehicle audio system.
It also comes equipped with a powered mount making it easy to slot the unit in and out rather than fiddle with awkward connections. ...

Advantages: Slim, A breeze to use, Good battery. Disadvantages: Audio output when in car not loud, even on maximum setting.
