As a man it find it very difficult to stop and ask for directions so this is perfect for me aswell as for women. Lol. The Garmin 2610 is great to get around. The included 128MB card Is able to carry a huge amount of maps, especially as you can just delete ones you don't need and add certain ones for certain trips. It finds specific places aswell as just general convinices e.g. shops, parking or petrol stations. It has a great mount that works perfectly.
Directions can be confusing when there are a number of roads branching off at one point or you have a turn coming up close to another road. If you will make a mistake, the unit will quickly recalculate a new route to your destination. After you get past the difficult job of setting your home location, it is easy enough to create a route from where you are to any place you want to go, including home. Don't try to use it while driving as that could be dangerous, especially with the fiddly touch screen. I've only lost the signal when driving in tunnels and between some high rises. It usually comes back really quickly.
The major downfall of the system is it isn't portable for walks or flights, a thing which I really like about a lot of satnav's, This could easily have been aloowed with some batteries. I think its very good but I don't like the fact that it isn't portable
