Review of "Garnier Ambre Solaire Clear Protect Spray SPF 30"
Married, mum of one young son, ex banking employee soon to be full time student again so having to experiment with products to find better value replacements for my beloved luxuries.
£15 if you believe shops, but I remember a few years back when all lotions were £6, before they doubled the price overnight and started the 241 offers. Price fixers!
A slightly yellow coloured, slightly oily spray. The bottle is good to hold but becomes slippery with product. The pump spray works reasonably well and a relatively fine spray is achieved. There is a clear section on the bottle so you can see what's left - clever.
When I went to Crete alone I had to apply cream to the wall and rub my back on it. Now they have a spray you can put it all over yourself without resorting to something resembling erotic dancing in a bathroom.
The product leaves an oily sheen on your skin which tells you where you've applied it, to be fair, but looks sweaty to strangers! I have never burned using this but still tan slightly. Rarely do I need to reapply as it stays on well. I am the sort who burns in about 30 mins on a hot day and have fair skin. It feels like you're using a lot but the reality is the bottle lasts a long time in Britain! I am pleased I don't have to get it all over my hands, bottle lotions are awful for that.
If they could fix the oily sheen this would get five stars. Thankfully they have - it's an aerosolised product in a can. But this is pretty good if you can't get the new one, and compared to bottles of slimy lotion it's well worth 4 stars.
