I recently started using Garnier Fresh Essentials Eye Grape water makeup remover as I wear contact lenses and so was looking for something that would not irritate my eyes should the product come into contact with them.

Being ophthalmologically tested and deemed suitable for people who have sensitive eyes or are contact lense wearers this product therefore seemed perfect for me. Garnier is a name that I trust especially as they endeavour to use natural ingredients that will care for your skin and I have often used other products from their range and liked them. A 150ml bottle will cost you around £2.50.

This remover is clear like water but has a gorgeously subtle fresh smell that comes from the grape water with which it is infused. The flit op lid and small opening means that it is easy to get the right amount on your cotton pad thus affording wastage. This takes your make up off easily (even waterproof mascara) without you having to rub the delicate eye area unduly which is always a plus as it is so easy to cause small amount of damage in this area. I always just hold the pad to my eye for several seconds to let the product soak into my lashes before trying to remove the product. As the remover is quite cooling this is quite a nice experience as well as helping to to remove your make up more easily.

There was no oily or greasy residue left on my skin and my eyes felt really clean and fresh after use. Therefore, even if I was applying make-up I could use this to clean up a smudge or restart and still be able to continue on with my application as usual.

I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for something that is gentle but effective and cares for your skin at the same time.
