I’d seen this advertised on TV for a few weeks and decided that I should get some the next time I went shopping. I bought mine from Tesco’s where it was on offer but I imagine it can be found in all the leading supermarkets, Boots, Superdrug and pharmacies. It is currently available from Superdrug for £1.99 for the one I have which is on offer where you can save £1 making them just £1.99 for 250ml.

I chose the Shea Butter variety as it was recommended for dry to extra-dry skin and my skin is quite dry. Other varieties include Honey for sensitive skin, Mango for dry skin, Cocoa Butter for dry, rough skin and Aloe Vera for normal skin. The lotions are also available in a 400ml bottle priced at £2.99 currently in Superdrug (normal price £4.99). Also available from the range is a gel crème in Peach for dry and sensitive skin or Grape for normal to dry skin, both of these are currently priced at £1.99 for 250ml (saving £1). There is also a hand cream in the range that comes in a variety of fragrances which I will be hunting down next time I am in town! These are also currently on offer in Superdrug for £1.99 (saving £1).

The lotion comes in an attractive pale green bottle with a white flip top lid. The bottle is shaped so that it can be held with ease and I think that the bottle looks quite nice sat on the bathroom shelf. Each variety has a different colour scheme that highlights various information on the bottle eg. the Shea Butter variety uses brown to emphasise that it is for dry to extra dry skin. I like this aspect of the design as it means your chosen variety is instantly recognisable on the shelf, even if you have forgotten which one you actually bought last time, you can probably remember the colour.

The back of the bottle gives a lot of information about the lotion which I found very useful when making my purchase.

To use the lotion it is recommended that you use it daily, if you use it twice daily for four weeks then skin will stay hydrated for seven days. I personally can never find the motivation to moisturise daily, let alone twice daily so I have been using this two or three times a week for the last few weeks. When I use it the results are visible for two or three days afterwards which I have not found in the majority of moisturisers that I have used.

The lotion is very easy to apply, you simply rub into dry skin. It absorbs very quickly and easily and it has a nice subtle aroma. The lotion is white in colour and quite creamy, not at all runny which makes it easy to apply. The lotion is not sticky either which I think is great as it means you can get dressed as soon as applying it and not worry about it getting on your clothes.

I usually use this every few days on my body and once or twice a day on my hands because my hand cream has just ran out and the only ones I have at home at the moment are either very sticky or too runny and my hands go through stages of getting extremely dry in the winter. This can come on very quickly if I haven’t been looking after my hands for example the other day my skin was fine one day and the next day I woke up and my skin was peeling off the inside of my hands and between my fingers. I applied this cream as it was the nearest thing to hand and I noticed immediate results – my hands went from red, dry, sore and peeling to moisturised, more supple and smooth within a matter of minutes. I have also found it very good for dry feet.

I have also used this on my face a few times but I have just realised on the bottle that it says it is not recommended for use on the face!

I really like this lotion as it is quick and easy to use, long lasting and is very good at relieving dry and sore skin. After just one use my skin was much more supple and felt less sore and more nourished. It felt much softer and smoother and looked a lot less red and sore too.

I think this lotion is brilliant and is a great buy for the price.
