I promised myself a treat after Christmas something to perk myself up, what better than a new hair dye, banishing those grey hairs and giving yourself a new look. I have been Blonde, Blue, Brown but the colour I love to be is Red, any shade off red but the more vibrant the better. There’s still life in this old dog yet, and please no comments.

Full instructions with attached plastic green gloves. Definatly an improvement from other makes as they have stuck the glove on the back of the instructions and not covering them.
A. Developer Milk, which contains hydrogen peroxide and comes with a few warnings. Avoid contact with eyes, rinse eyes immediately if there is contact. Wear suitable gloves. This comes in a clear plastic bottle with a green screw on top. To open you have to break off the tip.
B. A tube of nourishing colour cream, which also comes with safety instructions. This can cause an allergic skin reaction. Do the usual skin allergy test, which is applying a small amount with a cotton bud behind the ear, allow to dry. Leave for up to 48 hours without washing. If there is any irritation such as reddening or itching do not apply to hair.
Lastly a sachet off nourishing after colour conditioner. Which only has the one warning. Rinse eyes if product comes in contact with them.
After all these warnings I am not to sure whether I want to use it now…..
>> HOW TO USE <<
Wearing the gloves provided, unscrew the cap from the applicator bottle A, unscrew the tube of colour cream marked B and pierce the silver covering with the point of the cap. Squeeze the entire contents into the applicator bottle then firmly screw the bottle top back on. Shake thoroughly. Immediately after mixing snap off the tip. Then proceed with the application.
>> MY OPINION <<
This was really easy to mix, the applicator bottle is very sturdy and easy to handle. The process goes very smoothly.
>> APPLYING <<
This can be used on unwashed hair, make sure you are still wearing the gloves supplied, and protect your shoulders and clothing with an old towel..Apply the mixture using the applicator bottle A Start by applying the mixture to the roots, separating the hair strand by strand. Spread the remaining mixture through the hair and massage gently. Use all the mixture or discard as it can’t be used again, the mixture will get gradually darker. Leave on for 35mins. After the waiting time apply a little water and massage gently to create lather. Then rinse thoroughly until water runs clear. Then apply contents off the conditioner massage in and leave for 2 minutes. Rinse thoroughly then style as usual…
>> That’s how they do it NOW this is how I did it!!! <<
Brushed my hair thoroughly to make sure there are no tangles, apply mixture to the roots and hairline first and work through with fingers (with gloves on) making sure the mixture is spread evenly then what is left work through the rest off my hair massaging the mixture gently so every strand is covered. If there is splashings off colour on your skin use some damp cotton wool with shampoo. Then piling the hair on top off my head to wait the 35 minutes,……
The mixture is a lovely thick cream, which I didn’t spill a drop. Usually my towel is covered and it runs over the hairline. This cream stays put and doesn’t have that overpowering smell that makes your eyes water. The cream went on a creamy white colour but after 10 minutes it is changing colour to a darker red It is very pleasant to use and does as it says on the box…well up to now it does..only got 25 minutes to go.
Just before I rinse the cream off, my hair has gone a dark red and pretty well covered all my hair evenly..Now for the rinse test..see you in 5…..
Whilst rinsing the cream off, my hair felt really soft that’s before putting the conditioner on, usually my hair feels rough and unmanageable. The conditioning cream is a white thick cream which doesn’t ooze out of the sachet, ending up in the bath,. There is enough to cover my shoulder length hair with a good covering. As soon as I start to massage the conditioner in I can feel the silkiness. i can rake my fingers through my hair with no pulling. The feel and softness after rinsing the conditioner off is lovely and light.
The plastic gloves lasted the whole process without putting a finger through or ripping..Very pleased so far.
Now to the blow-drying.
My hair is really soft to brush, no tangles. The colour is darker than I thought, more like a plum but this could be due to my hair previously being coloured red. I really like the shade; it’s even with some lovely red highlights. Once it is styled my hair is easy to manage, soft and silky. I now have a lovely sheen coating my hair, leaving me feeling good about it and myself.
Everything about this hair dye pleased me, the smell and condition it has left my hair in. This doesn’t leave a mess in or out of the bath; it was easily rinsed off the bath leaving no marks. Also covered the grey hairs perfectly, usually i have the odd one that escaped the dye.. My hair feels good, soft and silky with loads of movement giving me a bit extra confidence. My hubby and kids think it looks great and feels nice. I bought mine from ASDA for £3.79, which isn’t a bad price to pay for a home hair colouring kit.
Advantages: HIDES THE GREYS, GIVES SHINY COLOUR Disadvantages: A LITTLE MISLEADING WITH COLOR SWATCHES.
...I actually found that Garnier were not as generous with product as other makes such as L'Oreal and was worried that it would not cover as well.
WAITING
Now this is the bit I hate. 30 minutes waiting for the colour to take is for me spent in eyebrow plucking and facial treatments that I don't usually have time for. RINSING.
Rinsing the product out is easy in warm but not hot water. Be careful though because the colour splashes, and I found that ... ...sachet of conditioner, and here Garnier really were mean with the product and considering that I have shoulder length hair, I dread to think what a person with long hair would do to make the conditioner stretch to cover all of their hair.
LASTING
So far the colour has lasted, although knowing that my hair grows very fast, I cannot imagine that the lasting qualities of the colour would make much difference, since roots of grey hairs will appear ...

...===== The Product =====
Garnier Nutrisse Cream hair colour is enriched with fruit oil and nurishing ingredients - i'm not sure what these are, but it sounds good. In the box you will find an applictor bottle of developer milk, a tube of nurishing colour cream, a sachet of nourishing after colour conditioner and an instruction leaflet with green (green?) gloves attached to it. The instruction leaflet is very straight forward and advises you not to ... ...much better! Garnier Nutrisse Cream is also perfect if you want to cover 100% of grey hair (something I don't need to worry about just yet) and comes in a wide range of colours to suit everyone, if you fancy a complete change, or just want to enhance your own natural colour, then give it a try, although I will say it again - blondes DO have more fun! Recommended.
Thanks for reading. ...

...picked up a packet of Garnier Nutrisse Cream in Tesco for £4.99 (or you can buy 2 for £8 at the moment). The colour I chose was 7.3 Golden Praline, Golden Blonde. This is a permanent hair colourant that claims to be nourish as it colours, cover 100% of grey, has 2 times more avocado oil and provides a radiant long lasting colour. The colourant does contain hydrogen peroxide.

Therefore I would always recommend that you read all of the instructions and warning before ...

...one that gave me the Garnier Nutrisse Natea to look at. The pack is green at the top and yellow at the bottom, most of the writing on the pack is in a dark green but the words Garnier Nutrisse Natea are in white on the front, the Nutrisse highlighted in silver with the obligatory attractive woman with perfectly groomed hair showing in theory how it should look well on a perfectly groomed woman anyway.
The top of the pack shows a rough idea of what ... ...to try it.
Is Garnier Nutrisse For Me.
YES if you want a permanent, rich, healthy looking colour.
YES if you want perfect, even grey coverage.
YES if you want your hair to be beautifully nourished and protected.
Another thing about the pack that was a nice touch was one of tabs that closes the box is tear off and has the colour number on it, at least when I forget I have a reminder or I can send my poor overworked hubby off to get it.
The colour ...

...am doing a review on Garnier Nutrisse Hair Colour, except this is the new Garnier Nutrisse cream. So I hope you will like this.
Why did i choose this one?
--------------------------------------
Well I'd had been saying for weeks that I was going to get my hair done, but never found the time to do it, anyway after weeks and weeks of windging, my husband got that fed up that when he went shopping last night he brought me some.
When he got home ... ...in the box.It then says garnier at the top of the box in whiteat the side of this you will notice the colour name and number in my case this was (grenadine 6.66 intense red) at the bottom of the box you will see the words NEW nutrisse cream also written in white, under this you should see sort of a green box shape in this it says NOURISHING PERMANENT HAIR COLOUR then under that it gives you a few pointers that the colour covers 100% grey hair, it ...

Advantages: Managed to cover my grey no problem Disadvantages: Is semi-permanent
I usually use GarnierNutrisse but fancied a bit of a change and if the truth be known I'm a bit of sucker for new haircolours. Whilst I'm not a big fan of L'Oreal (due to those dreadful "I'm Worth It" adverts), I decided to give this one a go mainly because it promised glossy hair with frosted tones. . I bought mine in Boots as I had some Advantage Card points, Also it was on special offer at £4.40, but it normally retails at £5.99. I've also seen this stocked in Superdrug. It comes in a pretty varied range of colours from blondes to reds to browns, although Boots only had about 4 shades left.
I decided on Iced Latte because the colour wasn't too dark. I sometimes find that if I use light brown my hair always comes out a lot darker than the picture on the box - my hair would probably be black if I used anything verging ...
Advantages: Great smell, long lasting colour, great price Disadvantages: The amount of conditioner supplied
I have dyed my hair since May 09 and I wanted to have a colour that was different to the common browns and blonde shades. I had my hair dyed with the GarnierNutrissecolour in the deep burgundy shade but it didn't last long as parts of my hair had gone back to natural colour after a month and some parts had gone a faded red colour.
So at the beginning of July I went looking for a new colour, and a new brand that hopefully would do a better job on my hair. I eyed up the Live collection in my local supermarket and I was instantly pleased by the different colours they had available. I was looking for a colour that wouldn't wash out as well as being something different and so when I saw that the packaging promised waterproofed and intense colour I decided to buy one of their colours. I wanted to go for the Cosmic Blue, but I decided to ...
Advantages: Gives great shine to hair, subtle result with light shades, can be divided to 2 colouring sessions Disadvantages: Smell not great, consistency a bit runny for highlights, lightening power not very strong.
L'Oreal Recital Preference is a permanent haircolour range I've been using every now and then when trying to look for the right shade for highlights across different ranges.
It comes in a shiny looking cardboard packaging, with a brown and gold colour scheme. The box includes: a bottle of developer cream, a bottle of colour liquid, a tube of conditioner, gloves and an instruction sheet.
The bottle of colour liquid needs to be poured into the developer cream bottle and shaken to get mixed. The consistency and texture of the mixture is a fairly runny gel rather than a cream, and is with some shades almost see-through with a faint tint of colour. The mixture gets darker throughout the developing time. The smell of the product is pretty strong compared to some others (Excellence, GarnierNutrisse) and isn't very pleasant, but you get ...
