With living in the UK we are a nation which are extremely lucky if during the summertime we experience even a few days of hot weather. The sun is rarely out strong enough for any of us to even receive a tan which is why most Brits are flying abroad and catching last minute deals to get away to the sun and to come back looking healthy and relaxed. However not only is it about escaping abroad but sun beds cause a lot of dangers yet people are that desperate to keep a tan and look like Hollywood celebrities that they are getting addicted to sun beds. I personally, will never use a sun bed with too many risks I decided to go for a more natural option which is when I came across Garnier Summerbody Lotion.

The bottle stands out being a golden shimmery colour reminding the consumer of summer. It is oval shaped and has the Garnier logo displayed on the front and the Summerbody title so that it is clear what the product is. It claims that it is a Moisturising Lotion for a sun kissed look but the wording is misleading. It says it gradually builds a natural looking sun kissed tan and that is it effective 12 hours moisturisation but I thought this looked like it meant it would work from 12 hours. The back has all questions and answers you may want to know such as, is it for me? How is it different? How does it work and How do I use it? All ingredients are also listed on the back. I noticed almost after 2 hours began to look a nicer colour, I may have been exaggerating but my skin looked healthier and more toned but I went to sleep on this anyway. The lotion has a lovely apricot smell which almost smells like the beach but this is also the giveaway that you have put the lotion on as well. When I woke up I definitely noticed I had gone slightly more golden, when I bumped into people they were like have you been away had I not seen them in a while which gave me confidence. Unlike other tanners I have used, this does not come off on your clothes thankfully. It also is up to you how dark you want to go, before a night out I apply twice a day to go darker but for normal daytime use I apply once every few days to top it up.

The lotion is a great healthy way to have a tan it has great staying power but obviously if you shower it does come off but just reapply after your shower and it will show up again. I purchased my Summerbody Lotion at Tesco, they didn’t have much choice but after mentioning I use this a lot of my friends have said they use this also and that it is great so no one seems embarrassed to admit to it. I purchased it for £4.89 roughly but I am sure it is on offer at half price at Boots and Tesco at the minute so it is probably the best time to buy it.
