Advantages: Too many to list here! Seriously, you can do absolutely ANYTHING with this. So fun!!! Disadvantages: ...too addictive. You may find yourself embedded into your seat.

Not only is it all of those things above, but its also hilarious! I have played this for hours on end and not lost interest. It's so fun, I've decided to get it for my mates as well as myself. ...(including rockets) you can "weld" people to objects... its so fun!
Here are a few things I have attempted on it:
1) Attach a guy to a trolley, put thrusters on the back of it and fly him across a map.
2) Attach a guy to a toilet, make a slider so that he slides in and out from the wall, then throw him into a zombie as it crawls towards me and attempts to kill me.
3) Stick a professor to a fence and fire ... more

Not only is it all of those things above, but its also hilarious! I have played this for hours on end and not lost interest. It's so fun, I've decided to get it for my mates as well as myself. You can build things, make new maps, create vehicles (including rockets) you can "weld" people to objects... its so fun!

REPEATEDLY! :D 5) Make a giant wall, on wheels, that crushes anything that moves towards me. 6) Put spinning blades across the floor that hacks into a zombie as it walks towards / into me. 7) Throw headcrabs into other people. 8) Spawn loads of headcrabs and try and hit them with a crowbar as they come towards me. 9) Make a security man dance Michael-Jackson style 10) Make a giant spinny wall of dooooom! 11) Drive vehicles into the water and swim in them :)
This game is so fun, yet it is so pointless! You can do unlimited things with tools, objects, characters, guns and people available, AND you can download addons for other characters and guns! I really do recommend you to this game, via Steam. It's £15 for this game! And you also get Counter Strike Source with it!
Advantages: You can do pretty much anything you want, thriving mod community, multiplayer Disadvantages: None that I can think of, perhaps long load times on startup
Originally Garry's mod was a small mod for Valve's first person shooter Half-Life 2, which simply let you use all the props and ragdolls from the game and pose them, stick them together and make a few weird contraptions. Since then the game has gone through several different versions, arriving at the final retail version available through Steam today.
It really is a sandbox game, allowing you to do all sorts of wacky things. As such it makes it ... ...I'll just list some of the many things you could potentially do.
You could weld together a chair, a desk, a few planks for wings, some thrusters and some balloons and you'd end up with a makeshift plane.
You could make a fort out of wooden crates then spawn a herd of ravenous zombies to attack you and watch as they tear down your wooden walls to get to you.
Then of coures you could use the ragdolls from all the Orange Box games (Half-Life 2 and ...

Advantages: Cheap, limitless, good to the eye, uses Steam Disadvantages: May need other Source engine games
It is really hard to make the review smaller than 400 words, because this is an infinite game. This game is awesome for a lot more things - the new GMOD Tower (up to 128 players), the TF2TD servers (Have you ever played tower defense? This is that with Team Fortress 2 characters), the RP servers (role-play), the other gamemodes and that you can do whatever you want. While most games are FPS, RTS and things like that, this can be whatever you want ... ...hamsterball. No other game ever created can do that. While some people say that the sky is the limit, here are limits to your ability to wake up long enough to enjoy this. It uses the Steam multiplayer system which has no problems. You can buy it in the Steam store ( www.steampowered.com ) for the VERY low price of 5.99 Euro. There is only 1 problem with this game - you must have another Source engine game in your computer to launch it. Even better ...
