Gateway - the Final Frontier?

Advantages: Great characters and cleverly structured
Disadvantages: The domestic violence bit sticks out like a sore thumb

glad I read Gateway, in spite of the odd niggle. The partying prospectors are a lot of fun, particularly their endearing ignorance in the face of the alien civilisation they're discovering. The twin strands of exploration and therapy are both brought to a satisfying conclusion, and I'm surprised the book has never been filmed - the balance between the vastness of space and the mundanity of paying your rent is note-perfect. My edition is quite a recent one. You've probably seen the series on science-fiction bookshelves, stiff covers, rounded corners to the pages and the back cover blurb aligned horizontally. While it's tempting (and plausible) to dismiss the striking design as a gimmick to charge premium rates (around £7.99 from all good bookshops and quite a bit cheaper online) for novels that are over forty years old, they're incredibly ...

Gateway to trouble

Advantages: Tech support
Disadvantages: Poor customer support and delivery

on my 4 different orders. The customer support service is very poor. AND the time taken to deliver goods is CRAP. I’m not sure if I would use Gateway again, but now I am settled down and the computer works it is fine am I am very happy with it. Well worth the money. UPDATED******* Well ok, Gateway have now proved to me that they can actually deliver there products within a short time, although it was only a mouse so it probably didn't have to go through their accounts department. So heres the story, My mouse started playing up (you know the score, you move the mouse but the cursor on the screen is jerky). I thought I would ask Gateway to send me a new one seeing as I still have nearly 3 years warranty left, I may as well use it. AGAIN the tech support person was great. He asked me if I had tried to clean it, I said yes ...

Review of Gateway (Shop)

Travel to the top of The Gateway Arch Mork-style - in an egg.

Advantages: Elegant architectural icon. Magnificent vies and photographic opportunity.
Disadvantages: Lenghy queues. Only partially accessible for disable visitors.

there is a walk to the arch! The Gateway Arch and Museum of Westward Expansion are open daily from 8 a.m.to10 p.m. in the summer and from 9 a.m. ? 6 p.m. in the winter. Entrance to both is free, however if you want to ride the trams or see a film, then prepare to pay. I do recommend that you visit. The Gateway Arch has become symbolic of St Louis and Missouri. It would be rather like going to Paris without visiting the Eiffel Tower to go to St Louis without visiting the Arch. However be prepared! Try to choose your time of visit to avoid queues and take what little baggage you can to speed up the security check. ...
