The Gateway M-series notebooks provide multimedia performance in a sleek, stylish design. Packing Intel Core 2 Duo processors, plenty of RAM and large-capacity hard drives these budget notebooks are certainly attractive to many consumers looking for a portable multimedia center for bringing movies, music and digital photos on the go.

I'm a proud owner of a Gateway and I have to say that I just love my computer system. There is almost nothing that you can't do with it. The Gateway computers are able to be upgraded with ease with how they are designed. Unlike other computer systems that I have discovered. I'm always working with several differant types and brands of computers. This is a subject that I know a lot about considering all the schooling that I have in this field not to mention it is my favorite hobby. I have alread upgraded my computer system and I will probly upgrade it some more instead of buying a new computer system. Advantages: It's a PC Disadvantages: Price, Feature-Set, Support, customer Services
...Poor quality monitors and basic components go into a gateway, unless you're prepared to spend mega-bucks. This is the lesson I've learned for many years when looking at these machines.
Gateway have a great habbit of quoting that they supply Sony monitors, but Sony make some real tat in terms of OEM monitors. They'll also quote things like TNT2 graphics card with 32MB of RAM, what they won't tell you is that it's probably a TNT2-M64 chipset, the lowest possible. (Don't get me wrong, 1 of my cards has this chipset and it's good for the money!). But the fact remains that Gateway will cut on quality for a few more pennies in their purse.
I can't really argue with this, they're in business after all. What Gateway used to stand for was good service. Even this has now gone out of the window. What I'd prompt you to do is ask yourself what...
