The smell which is very difficult to put across through the written word reminds me a little of that typical after sun scent, that’s the first fragrance that becomes apparent but it also has a pleasant, flowery note to it but then it does contain sunflower seed oil which is a typical ingredient of Gatineau’s products and really helps the skin. The scent left on the skin is not subtle but neither overpowering and makes you feel all fresh, summery and the ‘just out of the shower’ feeling. After applying it, your skin feels baby soft and almost feels powdery although it doesn’t leave a powder film to your skin.
It contains AHA’s hence the name and I chose the product purely for that reason and was the only one I could find containing it. I use an AHA cream on my face and it works wonders on my dry, flaky skin.
According to the ingredients list the AHA’s come from the citric acid it contains. AHA’s can come from various other sources such as sugar. AHA’s help your skin to shed dead skin cells quicker to reveal healthier, glowing skin and for me helps stop any spots and blemishes. The ingredients also contain lanolin, shea butter and glycerin amongst other long, unprounceable names!
I also have mild eczema and have bumpy upper arms and back which looks awful, especially with the summer season coming up (if we get a summer this year!) and read I somewhere that this body lotion is excellent for this and after two weeks they’ll have done a disappearing act. I’ve only just bought this product so can’t comment personally.
The product itself comes in a plastic bottle which is sort of like a flat square shape. It’s white but you can just about see the contents inside, which surprisingly enough has so much in it it’s almost overflowing. How many times have you bought a product that’s only ¾ full?! The lid is a green/grey colour.
This body lotion would be fantastic for all those scaly bits most of us get, such as the elbows, knees and shins and is a great way to prepare your skin for the summer and get set to glow! A real luxury product for those who can afford it, even if it’s only for the summer!
Advantages: Absorbs quick, great aroma and leaves skin looking great Disadvantages: Not the best looking bottle and price tag between £15-£28 shop around..
Having had crocodile skin for virtually 40 years of my life, I found this after trying a tester and I am now transformed from a dry and unslightly reptile into a truly glowing specimen of the female form. The body cream saves time and is good for you all at once, with a light fragrance that does not interfere with any other perfume you may wear. The finish on your skin is healthy and slightly shiny without an oil slick or fear of you ruining your ... ...or be lazy and slap on and leave to sink in. The bottle might not look the best on your shelf but you can be assured that the mixture in it will transform any skin. Bit pricey when you first see the price ticket but you don't need much and I would pay twice as much now for this product and you still receive beauty passport points on the back of the bottle to save up and get more products with when you have collected a certain amount, a win win situation..a ...

I would have thought Gatineau could have made more out of the cheap plastic square bottle with grey lid, than they have. However once you open the lid, you can tell its not one of the run of the mill products that you can pick up from your local Boots or Superdrug.
It is a mildly scented but not overpowering lotion. It feels like liquid silk, and it sinks into the skin immediately leaving a mild fragrance that lingers for a while.
Wow does this ... ...applied it three times in three consecutive days, and within that time i could see a difference in the texture of my skin. It left my body softer, more radiant, and nicer to touch and a nice silky sheen that was welcomed.
It sunk into the skin imediately, and within 20 minutes i was able to get dressed again. It left no oily residue on my clothes. The AHAs are extracted from passion fruit so the website says, and if you have ever smelled passion ...

Or should I say it's great for people who can't or don't want to spend hours on maintaining the body beautiful. This is a totally brilliant product that manages to do two jobs at once. Firstly it is a high quality body lotion with a gorgeous fresh but rich fragrance. It looks too thin to be really good, but that's one of the secrets of its success. It's actually incredibly moisturising, but because it is thin it sinks in amazingly quickly. I was ... ...skin - but they don't at all, it's very very gentle indeed. The AHAs do, however, mean that the lotion exfoliates as it moisturises, which means, for most folks there is no need to use additional body scrubs. It's especially good for people who suffer from keratosis pillaris (gooseflesh) at the top of arms and legs - often it gets rid of this in a few weeks of regular use ...
