I was bought this Angry birds I pod speaker for Christmas 2011 because I no longer had any CDs, I just downloaded music onto my I tunes at the time so it was pointless having a big CD player taking up lots of space in my room. The angry bird at the time retailed at £50 - £60 but you can pick this up now for as little as £19 from places such as Curry's, HMV, Amazon and even some supermarkets have stocked these. You may be able to buy a used one from cash converters or CEX but when you can buy brand new for such a cheap price there's really no point. This is great for anyone who is an angry birds lover or for the lover of quirky items such as myself, if I didn't get this as a present I would of bought this myself since I stood in HMV with my own I pod on blasting out disturbed -down with the sickness. I turned a few heads and pretty sure I convinced some people to buy it that day!

Design

The exact size measurements for the angry bird are - H 181 x W 175 x d 236 mm. This makes it roughly the size of a football. This isn't completely round, it has a flat-ish bottom so it can sit on the table top without wobbling or rolling away. The whole I pod speaker is make of a sturdy plastic as is the face which is 3D. The eyebrows, eyes and beak have a good way of making it look angry. This is a must have for an angry birds fanatic, I'm not much of a fan with all the toys and accessories to go with this game but I believe this is really quirky and fits in perfectly with my room. This is small enough to move around, I'm so indecisive that it started off on my bottom shelf, worked it's way to the middle shelf, then my windowsill and now sits on top of my DVD player, because this doesn't weigh much it's easy to move.
Getting technical

I am in no way technically minded but the angry I pod station has one speaker built into it, the sound comes out of the bottom and the sides of the bird. The speaker power is 30 W. I don't know if this is good for the size of the bird or if it is naff but to me this is pretty damn powerful and loud. I'm a sucker for loud music, having my Ipod up full blast and then turning the bird up to full whack fills my house and the street with my awesome music which I'm sure isn't appreciated but I love it. The speakers deliver a clear crisp sound without any distortion despite how loud it is. To make this even better it's complete with a sub woofer, my favourite. I've found that the music sounds much better with this turned up full, without it the music sounds bland and like it hasn't be produced properly, so I have the bass turned up full every time and of course this doesn't cause any distortion.
Features and compatibility

The angry bird is pretty much just an angry bird. It is very basic and the only feature is has to offer is the sub woofer, to me this is perfect. I hate things were you can change every settings and tweak things around, I just want to plug my Ipod in and press play and have it working which is exactly what this allows you to do, stress free I might add. The bird is compatible with basically any electrical item with an I in front of it! such as Ipod, I pad, I phone but also with MP3 players and smart phones too. When I'm youtube-ing music I plug this into my laptop and that works fine too.
Installing and using

The installation couldn't be easier, just plug the power wire into the bag of the bird and into the plug socket and hey ho it's done, that is literally all you have to do, even though this comes with a life time supply of instructions they're all unnecessary and frustrating. It's also really easy to use, it has one button which is the power button, this will light up green when you've turned it on and the rest is done via your Ipod. There is only one downside to this speaker, it doesn't re charge your I pod like a lot of the other ones do, this is annoying especially if your Ipod dies while listening to music! If this charged my I pod I wouldn't need to drag my laptop out and listen to music via you tube.
Durable and cleanable

I've had this since Christmas 2011 and I am one of the most accident prone and clumsiest people in the world. Any time I have a drink in my hand or near me I seem to spill it and I've tragic with technology, I seem to just break everything without even doing anything, this poor bugger has been through so much but he still lives on! It's had drinks fall on it, a TV fell on it, it's been knocked off my shelf, candle wax has gone all over it! it has been bashed around more times than I'd like to mention but he's still alive and is in perfect working condition. This is made out of thick plastic, means you can wipe it with a damp cloth which I have to do often from all the spillages.
