Advantages Very rich clean sound, looks good, remote control, comes with 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.
Disadvantages Not a very very very massive sound but can still go pretty loud!

Whilst the Gear4Music House Party VX shows off about being an iPod speaker, when my iPod broke after sitting on it in the train. I still could use these fantastic speakers with the 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable that came with it to use with my computer. I haven't bought an iPod since!
