The heavy hitting "Gears Of War" was a giant step into the world of future gaming, it's mind blowing in-game graphics and fantastic gameplay gave birth to a game which was not only playable once..but endless! times."Gears Of War 2" packs a much larger punch.With a lot of hours placed into the making of GOW:2 to guarantee fans of the original be satisfied, they have managed to make a game which will not only test your skill but will force you to think up a cunning strategy..or a thousand.Computer A.I (in game characters) will react to your every move,which is good if your pinned down behind a blown up vehicle with constant fire and need a hand from a comrade.However this can also be reversed in the way that if you have a enemy locked down your iron sight...he is going to call in his "friends" to help get you out his path.Gears 2 is all about warfare and believe me it brings it to the screen,with a powerful range of weaponary such as pistols,rifles,shotguns and so much more, you feel the action 24/7 and have to make do with what you can find to deliver hard blows to endless amounts of enemy troops, me personally? im quite partial to the built in chainsaw on my assault rifle.Gears 2 has many modes of gameplay for you to choose from, if the sound of faceing a whole army of angry aliens (locust) with a passion to see you bleed takes your fancy, then try the solo campaign mode with an intense five chapters all containing anywhere upto five parts each of visually mind blowing cinematics and warfare.Up for a challenge? then team up with a friend,increase the difficulty and co operatively take on the experience.Gears 2 also has been rewarded with a new game type the original did not have,Horde.This game type involves wave after wave of Locust coming at you with only one objective,your extinction.Dont be scared though,just team up with four other friends and make the war go a bit more in your favour...or try to.There are a vast amount of game types still there from the first game,so any original fans like myself will remember: Team deathmatch,Deathmatch,Execution and many many more.The same goes for the maps to, a few classics mixed with a lot of new ones.I would recommend this to any original fan of gears of war looking to continue the fight...dont worry though,just because you did not play the first does not meen you cant join the fight now! Far from it....Theres always a spare gun for the rookie :).Enjoy.
