Gears of War is one of the best games to have hit the Xbox 360, and the same can now be said about the game on the PC. In terms of gameplay, it is the same as the Xbox version, and follows the same storyline, which in iteself is fantastic.
You are able to perform various manoeuvres such as crouching behind a wall, rolling, and hiding behind walls, which all enable you to combat the enemy more efficiently. You have to fight your way through the storyline with enemies that become progressivly harder and more elaborate.
Grapically, the PC version far surpasses the Xbox 360 version as you would expect; the colours, detail and precision are far greater and as a result you become more immersed in the game. I run this game on a Q6600 cpu, 4GB ram and an 8800GTX KO edition, which handles the game beautifully. I don't believe this game uses up masses of resources compared to a game such as Crysis, so I think that most recent computers would be able to run this game just fine.
The online play is great, and as this is a Window's Live game, you can gain achievements and rewards as you play, something which PC games have lacked compared with their console counterparts.
The only small problem I have is the lack of variety in weapons. I feel they could have included a few more different types of weapons, but this is only a small niggle at an otherwise fantastic title.
Gears of War then, is a great game to have in any gamers collection, and now that it is on PC it has been taken to another level graphically. I would recommend this game as one of the top titles of the year, and one for any gamer to have in their collection.

Gears of war another addition from Microsoft. The story line is based on human species battle for survival. The enemies, hordes of creatures called locusts, which crawl out of the earth from any place are to be defeated in this game. The aim of the game is to defeat these locusts and their boss - R.A.A.M.
The game has the main character of Marcus Fenix, a soldier captured by locusts, and is freed by other army officials in the game, and this the ... ...totally based on teamplay. The character of Marcus is supported by other soldiers which are totally AI based and make their own decisions according to our movements.
The graphics of the game is just too amazing. The detailing has been provided very good amount of attention. I very much liked the detailing in the game like the smoke coming from the gun after bullets have been fired, blood spilling out after being hit by bullets, the blasting of granades ...

Gears of war requires a nice computer,of course,you could run with all the effects off smoothly if you don't have a amazing PC.You could run it well as long as you have 1.5G RAM,and at this time,RAM is so cheap,it wouldn't be quite hard for you to achieve that,isn'it?

If you want great graphics, 5.1 sound and games which approach the PC in terms of sheer graphical excellence then the XBOX 360 is the way to go. Not all of us can afford great gaming PC's ( Quad core extreme £600+ Nvidia 8800 GTX Graphic cards in SLI £750+)
So if you want a gaming experience approaching that of a £1500 PC get one of these, you wont be disapointed.
Ona 50 inch widescreen BIOSHOCK looka amazing as as Gears of War and Call of Duty 4, best thing is you can even buy nbits which allow you to attach a keyboard and mouse to it !!!

Having waited forever for Sony to release the PS3, stop gap was filled by an Xbox 360.
