As someone who was making a first tentative attempt at programming WAP content, programming in WML with assistance from Waptor, gelon.net proved to be an essential tool, offering me not only the chance to see what my WML pages would look like on a WAP phone, but also what they would look like on nearly all the most popular current WAP enabled handsets. Gelon.net provides a VERY useful WAP emulator. You simply type in an URL and a popup window, which looks like a mobile phone, appears with the site in it. There is even a choice of phones. This is immensely useful if you are trying to create a WAP site but don’t have a WAP phone to try it on. Generally the emulator works very well, although it is a little slow.
