The all-new GE E840s comes with a lightweight, ultra-slim body design that combines portability with style. Within a compact body, the GE E840s serves up 8 Megapixel resolution, 4x optical zoom, 4.5x digital zoom, 18x combined zoom, and a 2.7" high-resolution LCD screen.
Advantages: Compact Size, Sturdy, Superb Image Quality for Great Price Disadvantages: Complicated user interface
...the camera almost faultless. I have only ever needed to adjust the flash settings.
Generally a great little camera. I have had wonderful results with this camera, and would not purchase an easier to use model with lower image quality after using this, since the images are incomparible to many cameras of 3 or 4 mega pixels....

Advantages: Great size for keeping in pocket. Good pictures, and decent lenscap. Disadvantages: Not enough Compactflash memory supplied.
...This camera is a joy to use. Having previously experienced the Nikon 995, and been very pleased with it's quality, it was extremely gratifying to discover that the control menus were essentially the same.

The cybershot doesn't have as many Megapixels, and therefore doesn't produce as good quality images as this does.
I would add also that the screen is fantastic for viewing images instantly after they have been taken, and the camera is also easy to charge; a mains charger is provided in the box.
Kodak really have impressed me with all the different settings on the simple wheel on the top of the camera. Examples include:
-Auto: Used for general picture taking
-Digital image stabilization: Makes sure that the image...
