...Had this scanner for a number of years worked without a problem, but suddenly packed up last Thursday.
Things go wrong and it's not that they wrong that gets me angry, but when you have to make multiple/repeated/extended efforts to get it sorted.
Couldn't find a spares or repair options so called support. Sorted. In less than a week (now Wednesday) I'm scanning. Great!
Other point in Genius's favour is that when I upgraded from Win98 to WinXP the Genius new drivers worked no problem. I have another scanner "TRUST 240TH" and I've spent hours trying to get it to work with XP. Unloading reinstalling and rebooting, nightmare. Technical support only by e-mail, never get back to you. Going to put it in the bin....

Advantages: Plug n play, reliable, efficient Disadvantages: A bit pricy
...Finally, just when I was begining to give up on ever attaching my SCSI drive to my system, along came the answer to my prayers. A neat fitted in seconds, no need to open the case solution; the Adaptec USB to SCSI connector.
This piece of electronic genius allows you to connect virtually any SCSI device directly to your PC through its USB port. It works and is brilliant. It just plugs in and away it goes. Everything is supplied and with easy to follow directions.
It is not cheap though, expect to pay about $50 ($90) for it but compared with a SCSI card & cables it probably works out the same and is definately 100% less hastle than trying to configure an already stuffed full to the brim machine.
It's got my vote....

Advantages: Easy To Use and Carry Disadvantages: Not For USB 1.1
...Plugging your digital camera into your PC to get photos from is not a good idea as it can severley deplete your battery life. Which is why I bought this beastie it can take the following cards, CompactFlash Card - type I/II, Memory Stick, SD Memory Card, and SmartMedia Card. I have used it with the last two on this list.
Installing this thing was initially a bit troublesome as even though it claims to be USB1.1 compatable it is not you need USB 2.0 slots on you computer. If you have USB 1.1 slots then you will not be able to use this thing. If you have USB 2.0 slots then with Windaes XP all you have to do is plug it in and you are away.
To retreive data from your card all you do is plug it into the appropiate slot and explore it with windows explorer, and treat it as a removable drive.
As an avid digital photographer this beastie...

This is my third graphics tablet. I was not very sure about getting this product, but after some experimenting and practice I came to the conclusion that this product rules. The main reason I got this is windows xp x64 bit support. However- you will not more
