Although these speakers look stylish and slick they leave a lot to be desired. They have a very thin design but quite an awkward back shape which I found annoying when trying to place them in a small gap. The maximum volume of the speakers i found pitiful, about the same volume as a laptop's speakers. The quality gradually decreases as you turn up the volume, especially with the bass. The sound becomes fuzzy if there is too much deep bass and he hgh notes are scratchy. The price may be attractive (just under £15) but these speakers really did not impress me.
There is no need to install any software to use these speakers, however, they need their own power source whatever you use them with, they cannot take power from a laptop.
