Killing in the name of unpronounceable names
Review of Genji: Days of the Blade (PS3) by badongism

Advantages: Looks fantastic, easy gameplay.
Disadvantages: Silly camera angles, learning curve is a little off.

Am I the only one who finds all these Japanese titled kill-em-ups confusing? Every character seems to have names that would score at least 500 in Scrabble, and you can bet there will be ghosts, zombies, Cure fans, or some other undead lifeform. Nonetheless, I downloaded the demo from the PS3 website and crikey. I was impressed. So, after seeing a copy in Gamestation rather dubiously reduced to £19.99, I thought I'd give it a go. So, you play one ...
...extends right back to Golden Axe on the Sega Master System. You have your all rounder with dual swords and boyish good looks. Then you have your scantily clad female, who can attack with more speed and range, but with less strength. Then we have the huge brick wall of a character, who carries what appears to be a telephone pole, who moves slower than a glacial shift, but can kill pretty much everything in one hit. Oh, and your fourth character is ... Read review

Genji days of the blade
Review of Genji: Days of the Blade (PS3) by doa1984

Advantages: Its ......well.....i dont really know.
Disadvantages: bad graphics, bad camera, bad gameplay, bad levels bad bad bad

The PS3 has a lot of catching up to do. Its over a year behind the 360, its had lots of negative press about the price and its delays. So to shut everybody up, you would think that Sony would release a killer app. One that looks stunning on your new ps3, plays better than anything that the current gen consoles can do and is just an amazing game..... Well for some reason Sony didnt do that, they did this. Genji Days of the Blade is the sequel ...
...not knowing this as the PS2 version (although quite good) sort of flopped in the UK. So Sony took another stab at it. The problem is that where as the PS2 version made the best of the hardware, this version dosnt. The tech specs for the PS3 are amazing, so on paper any game thatis released has the potential to look amazing too. But with the exception of a few nice areas this is nothing special. But graphics can be forgiven if the gameplay is ... Read review

genji ps3 don't condem it try it!
Review of Genji: Days of the Blade (PS3) by zyndol

Advantages: graphics, speed, gameplay
Disadvantages: story line, camera angles (on occasion)

If you can get over the odd camera angles that sometimes leave you fighting characters annoyingly outside of your view, you will discover a solid beatem up rpg. I would say this was more of a fighting game rather than an rpg as you don't really make any decisions on which way the game goes, you just follow the story and slash up the baddies. The storyline is a little bit weird to say the least. The most anoying thing about this game is not knowing ...
...until you stumble upon your quest. My advice is ignore the story and enjoy the fighting and graphics which are fantastic. If you want a game that showcases great graphics this is it. If you watch someone else play this game it looks very complicated with the moves and combo's but it is actually very simple, this makes you look like a master even though you could be a button slapper. When I first got my ps3 i got motorstorm, resistance of man ... Read review
