Advantages: So much fun for any age Disadvantages: Sometimes gets frustrating when stick together and you don't want them to
...When I got this I thought I was a bit to old for it, it seemed a bit childish but I have to tell you; it's not! It is so entertaining, you can spend hours with this building anything. It comes with the sticks in yellow, pink, lilac and purple, some metal balls and a book with some ideas of things to make. It is so easy to use, you just put them together, the only annoying thing is when they stick together and you don't want them to. The thing I love about this particular geomag though is that it is really girly with all the pretty pastel colours. If you get this then you should also get some pannels as well as then it gives your creations a better shape. I would recommend you get this if you want something fun to do when you're bored....

Geomag Review ofGeomag SA 42 Piece Glow In the Dark Setby
scooby32
Advantages: can make good stuff Disadvantages: Need more magnets
...Geomag is an educational box of magnetic strips that can make quite a few building things.
The difference with this box is it is glow in the dark and it does, you build what you want and lift it to the light and then turn the lights of and you have this fun green construction glowing in your room.
My son asked for Knex for Christmas and we came across this box of Geomag's and thought it was worth a try.
We first seen them in Aldi for £14.99 but we bought them for £9.99 in Toys 'R' Us.
I have to say it was well worth £10 but my son has made the remark a couple of times that there is not enough magnet strips in the box.
Geomag's are thick strips of plastic that can be connected together with small metal ball magnets, my opinion these are not for small children, even though on the box it says suitable for age 3 to age 99. The magnet balls...

Advantages: Teaches scientific concepts Disadvantages: Spheres get lost
...Geomaag
A great favourite with everyone at the moment. This was originally purchased because Little Miss had been introduced to it at school and had waxed lyrical about it, so we decided to "give it a go".
The principle behind buying it was that it would be a great construction type activity, but in reality, it teaches so much more. It does actua;;y teach, in a fun way, the principles of magnetism and the basic laws of physics (something I am not particularly up to scratch with!), as well as giving an insight into construction, engineering and architecture. All this can be done by by encouraging children (and adults) to use their imaginations.
**So, what do I get?**
We bought the 96 piece set in pastel colours (pink, purple and yellow rods), and in this set, you get 60 2 ½ cm rods and 36 magnetic spheres. The rods have magnets...

My mum bought me my first pair of GHDs roughly five years ago. Looking back I can honestly say that I have no idea how I managed without them! I had a pair of pretty rubbish things in my first year at secondary school but it wasn't until I had GHDs that... more
What can you say about Dark Side of the Moon that hasn't been said before?
Dark side of the moon is an amazing album! The progressive drumming of the heart beat throught the album makes it dark and surreal. My favourite track is Time, the sudden... more
