Previous to purchasing this, I was tolerating a slow, somewhat unreliable electric oven grill, and had got more than frustrated with the fact I could either grill, or oven cook. By buying this however, it's allowing me to do both at a much cheaper price than buying a double ovened cooker!
The grill heats up in no time at all, I would say it takes 4-5 minutes and you're away, cooking things in less time than a standard grill would allow you to- a 1" beef burger would take up to 20 minutes in a standard grill, but is cooked in no more than 8 minutes with the Foreman.
The double grill design is excellent- two grills "sandwich" together, the weight pressing down and squeezing excess juices and fat out of your food. Since both are heated, there is no need to turn food over to ensure uniform cooking as it is cooking top-down and bottom-up simultaneously. Because of this I would strongly recommend checking the instruction book's cooking time guide, as opposed to those printed on the food's packaging, as you will find the time drops by at least 30%, and that if you don't follow the supplied guide times, your food will come out more than just a little crispy!
The deep griddle design allows juices and fat to easily trickle away from your food and collect in the supplied collector, without collecting on what you've been cooking. Obviously this allows the food to be much healthier for you, but I honestly think that things are tasting better, now they're not cooking in their own fat! The griddles also allow for food to be seared- mainly a cosmetic thing, but it works very well.
The best bit to the machine is the multi-purposeness to it- you don't need to just use it for meat and fish, as you can make grilled sandwiches/paninis, and grill fruit too. While I've not attempted grilling fruit yet, my partner and I have made many a grilled cheese and ham sandwich, each time coming out beautifully.
The machine is surprisingly easy to clean, too. After allowing the grill to cool down, you can use the supplied spatula to remove the fat, although I find it's not as effective as it could be, so I always resort to wiping it out thoroughly with a few pieces of kitchen towel now, which will get everything off!
The only other negatives I have with the machine are that I find the bread warmer to be a bit disappointing, as I expected it to toast rather than just heat, and also that the power cord is a bit too short for my liking, resigning the grill to the corner of the kitchen worktop.
All in all however, I would strongly recommend for anybody to purchase one of these. A couple can easily cook more than enough meat for a meal with this size, and the grilling quality is uniformly great throughout.
Advantages: What can't you cook on this baby? Disadvantages: Food sometimes becomes flaccid when heated
...anything!
***Design/Layout***
The George Foreman has heating slats on both top and bottom! So no need to check if the underside is done, then turn it over, oh no, this thing has all the quirks! The slats are corrigated to allow the fat to drip down into the collecting tray at the bottom. This system works quite efficiently to reduce the amount of fat in your food, making your overall eating experience a healthy one.
Also, the above compartment ... ...arteries.
I've seen the George Foreman being used for cooking many things by my mother. It can cook almost anything that you can cook in a normal grill or oven, allowing for size. Chicken is always nice when grilled I've heard.
***Downsides?***
Maybe you like fat? I know some people can be overconcious, but really, there isn't much loss of taste, if anything, taste is gained!
However, you may wish to be living with a female or a responsible male ...

Advantages: Compact, easy to use, quick cook time Disadvantages: Difficult to clean and slightly squashes your food!
I have had my George Foreman now for just over 2 years it was actually a gift when I moved into my home so didn't actually cost us anything and to be honest it didn't actually ever occur to me to buy one as I just never got the hype, whereas now I couldn't and wouldn't be without it!
When I first opened it I expected it to be difficult to use but I was wrong it is literally a case of plug in and off you go! It came supplied with 2 spatulas to clean ... ...edge of the grill to catch the drips. When you switch it on it heas up really fast about 2-3 minutes and it's really hot so you can absically get cooking straight away when you have sortd your stuff just throw it on to the bottom grill plate and then place the lid down on top of it, the lid has floating hinges so it will lift slightly to accommodate chicken breasts etc so as not to flatten it to much although thre is still some slight squashing. ...

Advantages: Cooks food wonderfully! Disadvantages: Cleaning is a pain.
George Foreman's have become so popular that almost everyone has 1 in their household, this is yet another incarnation of the ever popular device, this particular spin-off has a few problems though.
Advantages: Like its predecessors and no doubt all the Georges that follow, the grill cooks any number of foodstuffs on both sides simultaneously, additionally it drains the fat down its surface and into a small oval shaped container making whatever ... ...leg extensions, turning the sloped George into a regular surface grill, no fat is drained.
I have only mentioned the cooking of meat here, but I have it on good authority that it can indeed cook nearly anything!
The grill isn't expensive, and is a definite asset to the kitchen (especially as it's a student kitchen), it allows any number of foods to be cooked quickly and cleanly.
Disadvantages: Cleaning. The cleaning of this grill is a complete ...

Quick review of George Foreman 10032
We bought ours some three years ago and have subsequently worn it out and had to go out and buy a bigger one, we now have the bigger one with removable plates to make cleaning just that little bit easy.
The only weakness I ever found with, it was the plastic bread warmer cover.
I just wish this sourcing had been around when I was a kid ...

The GeorgeForeman Grill is a healthy alternative to ordinary grilling. Whatever you grill, try meat, fish, vegetables, fruit, or even sandwiches, any of the excess fat is channelled down the special grooves in the grill and into a ready and waiting tray at the front of the grill. As the machine holds the food between two grills, cooking time is also reduced because both sides cook at the same time and spitting is cut down dramatically because the food in the grill is trapped between the two grills.
Using the grill is easy. Plug it in and switch it on. The heat indicator light on the front will go out when it is ready to use. All is explained in the instruction manual.
