Large, family size, easy to clean Health Grill 15 of 15 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Large/Family size. Dishwasher safe, removable Grilling Plates.

Disadvantages Freestanding 'fat catching' Drip Tray

This is a large Health Grill, suitable for a family, with easy to clean removable Grill Plates, temperature control, timer and comprehensive recipe book.

This is my second Health grill - the first, I learnt from experience was too small. We are a family of five and this has enough space to grill for all of us. However, even a smaller family would find this useful, as there would then be enough space for 'extras' such as grilling vegetables. Although it's larger than most Health Grills, the overall size isn't prohibitive and I've found a permanent space for it in my small kitchen!

The grill heats up very quickly and unlike most grills, there is no need to turn food halfway during cooking as both the top and bottom plates heat up. It also features a 'floating hinge' which means that the food cooks evenly all over and isn't squashed. The plates can be very easily removed for washing and are dishwasher safe. Wipe the rest of the machine over when finished and you're done!

There is a visible temperature indicator and timer on the front of the machine. Incidentally, in common with my previous grill, the timer does not turn the machine off after the pre-set time - it just beeps. My partner finds this a disadvantage, whereas I don't mind - I think this is because he wanders off somewhere during cooking and forgets! However, the grill turns off after an hour as a safety feature, which allows plenty of time as cooking time is generally short - I rarely grill for more than 10 - 12 minutes.

There is a good recipe book included, with loads of suggestions for marinades and sauces. My only gripe is that the tray which catches the fat is not attached to the machine, so if you forget to use it, expect a mess - my partner again (he'd also like a cable tidy).

If you'd like a male comment, my partner states that the 'build quality' is good. I'd say using this is a lot quicker and less hassle than the normal grill, oven or frying - and healthier. A big 'thumbs up.'
