fatal coronary. She is handcuffed to the bed in a lakeside cabin in the middle of nowhere, with no means of escape. Voices in her head force her to confront a buried childhood trauma. This book is presented with a fresh graphic cover style.

Gerald's Game
Another of StephenKing's "Maine line" fiction books. Honestly the first book by S. King that annoyed the hell out of me. I don't see a point in not revealing the plot fully, as in the book it's anyways revealed on the very first pages - that was the first disappointment for me.
So here we go: The book starts with a picture of a middle-age couple, Jessie and Gerald, going for a minibreak to their residence by the Dark Score lake (Here I would love to state that even if I think geography has always been my rather strong side, King's books still had a great deal to teach me, when it comes to Maine's topography. And honestly enough, I got tired of it after some time, it's too much of a pattern.) in Maine. The first thing they do is run upstairs and get to the bed, which one of them won't leave alive and the other will ...
Advantages: Disturbing and intriguing Disadvantages: Not much in the way of plot
' The sun is going out...The time of the eclipse has come. (Gerald's Game, p.140)
PLOT:
Jessie Burlinghame is with her husband Gerald at their holiday cabin far away from anyone else- they want a break away to have some time together and that's what they've got. Yet Jessie is bored of her husband's sex games, and finding herself handcuffed to the bed yet again she decides to be reasonable and ask him to let her go. When he doesn't seem to get the message she has to be a little more forceful. Too forceful.
She intended to give him a quick kick where it hurts to let him knows who's really boss, but now he's lying dead on the floor from a heart attack. To make matters worse Jessie is still naked, still handcuffed and the keys are far away from her. And night is falling whilst the back door bangs on it's hinges down the corridor ...
Advantages: Good when you get into it Disadvantages: Not like his other books
When I first started reading this book I didn't really enjoy it as it is not like other books by the famous author.
It all starts off with a man called Gerald Burlingame and his wife 'Jessie' in the bedroom of their summer house. Jessie is handcuffed to the bed in just a pair of knickers. This is one of Gerald's Games (Note the name of the book). Jessie has had enough of these sex games and asks Gerald to undo the handcuffs. He pretends that he hasn't heard her. He tries to force himself upon her, so she raises her legs and kicks him between the legs. The result of this is Gerald falls off the bed saying 'heart'. Jessie thinks at first that he is only pretending to have a heart attack, but when he doesn't get up Jessie fears the worst.
As you read on you are not sure if Jessie will get out of the handcuffs. She prays for someone to ...
