Is it possible to be as bad as germany were? The answer is yes and England are the guilty party. As bad as Germany were England were worse. When England defeated Germany, few neutral spectators were able to claim that England were the better team. In fact on the contray Germany were superior. The problem now with Germany is the fact that there are far too few young players coming into the highest levels. A few notable exceptions are Micheal Ballack and Sebastian Deisler. The german league, in particular the smaller Bundesliga clubs and those in the second divisin are not giving enough young players a chance, and instead are buying numerous east european players very cheaply. Unless this stops it will be many years before germany reestablish themselves as world beaters.
