Advantages: Good quality product for great feeling hair Disadvantages: can be perceived to be expensive
Even though I am a hairdresser, trained and taught that cheap high street products are bad for your hair I was always sceptical. Still I bought cheap products, you know the type 2 for 1 L'Oreal elvive in Sainsbury's or similar until about a year ago where I bought out of the salon I worked in GHD nurture shampoo.
At first using the shampoo I felt yeah sure it cleans my hair, its fine it'll do, then maybe a few weeks of using the shampoo I noticed that actually my hair tends to style a lot easier and sits better when left to dry naturally. Which believe me with my nice blonde hair unfortunately usually leaving it to dry naturally could have made me look like a lion (yes your picturing it a hairy mass surrounding my face in a frizz), ok maybe not that bad but I certainly couldn't have run into the shop with my hair left to dry where ...
Advantages: Easy to use, Stylish, Straighten hair very quickly Disadvantages: Expensive, It is quite common for the fuse to blow - but they are under warranty
I love my straightners. They heat up within seconds and make a "beep" to advise you when they are at the correct temperature. In my opinion they are sleek and stylish and very easy to use. For first time GHD users the only advise I would give it do not hold the straighters in position for too long or it can case 'lines' to be left in the hair. Try and make the straighters glide through the hair. You can also get the straightners in various colours and styles, I own the plain black ones as you do have to pay an additional £20 for the patterned or pink ones. Personally, I don't find the 'styling' products made by GHD much different to high street brands. ...
Advantages: Colour and comfortable to hold!! Disadvantages: Price
I got my straighteners from the GHD website, i was really excited when they arrived.
The good points about the straighteners and why i wanted them so much was because of the colour of them and the thought they were limited edition. I also heard GHD were the best for straightening uncontrolable hair like mine, I always found whilst using the straighteners they were very comfortable to hold and easy to use, the power lead was also a long enough for you not to have trouble straightening the whole of your head.
The bad points about the limited edition ghd straighteners was the price and i also found the plastic near the top of the straighteners got very hot.
In conclusion i love my straighteners and will proberly never go to another make again. Other advantages to Ghd company as a whole is they will try and fix your straighteners if ...
