An Introduction To The Woes of My Hair I hate my hair, with a vengeance. It seems entirely out of step with whatever is in fashion at any time. It couldn’t do the Beckham-style Mohawk particularly well, nor can it do the preppy flop. My hair just doesn’t do what I want it to do. It’s thick, perilously thick and coarse and ever so slightly wavy in parts. I think I have the hair of about three different men. It’s wavy at the front, slightly thin on the crown and tough on the sides and back. It’s getting worse, too. As I get older it doesn’t seem to be thinning (yet) but there are little grey ... more

After having very short and spiky hair for most of my teens and early 20's, I decided earlier this year that I need a change and decided to grow my hair. When it got to a certain length, I purchased a pair of £20 straighteners from a supermarket. Being the 'typical' man, I decided that straighteners were straighteners, and I was not going to pay over the odds for a product that would no doubt do the job just as well. After getting sick and tired of waiting about 5 minutes for my straighteners to heat up, and about 45 minutes trying to get my hair straight, I decided on the recomendation of my ... more

I have been using straightners for probably 5 years now. I have never been able to afford GHD's and never thought there was really a big enough difference between a pair you could buy for £25-£30 in any high street retailer and GHD's. Well in February this year my 'non GHD' straightners quite literally fell to pieces - the ceramic plated plates fell off. I decided after much deliberation that i was going to bite the bullit and try the GHD's. My hairdresser had been telling me for 2 years that i should be using them. Well since i am a man with shortish spikey/ruffled looking hair i decided to ... more

I have straight hair so why do I need GHD’s, ah because it makes my hair very straight and irons out those unlawful stray hairs that might have a little kink in! I love my hair straighteners, what more can I say. But they do so much more, you can twist your hair around and make curly locks, you can curl ends under or out, you can turn a bad hair day into a GHD – good hair day! Plug them in and away we go. The look These look good, just say GHD and everyone knows what they make and that you have a sophisticated and stylish bit of kit at home. They are black and look sleek. They have a rounded ... more

in my opinion ghd hair straightners are the best set i have used , i have tried various different brands over the years and rarely get the results i want or expect , with ghd i have the results i want for a reasonable price.i think that for the price , the quality they provide then these are a bargain. i would recommend these as a quality accesory to any womens hair equipment , my boyfriend bought me these and i couldnt believe he made such a quality choice (for once) . not only do they straightne hair fantastically , they can also curl hair beautifully and style your hair in any way that you ... more
