I've had these hair straighteners for roughly six months now and have used them probably every day since I was given them, so I feel fairly qualified to give my opinion: that I really can't recommend them highly enough!!
The quality of GHDs is unbeatable - I've used a lot of hair straighteners in my time, and I've got to say that they really do give consistently good results. They heat up in roughly fifteen seconds, and you can straighten hair very quickly in a rush with a fairly good finish - which as you can imagine saves huge amounts of time in the mornings! Generally, unless your hair is remarkably stubborn, the hair will also stay straight for the duration of the day.
It's also worth noting that they're pretty versatile, and as my hairdresser demonstrated a few days ago, it's quite easy to get nice curls using these hair straighteners!
Physically this is a very attractive hair straightener - especially for a very 'girly' girl. They're shocking pink, even the cable, so are definitely very eye-catching and guaranteed to make your friends go 'oooh.' The cord is longer than most, making it a lot easier to use than other hair straighteners I've seen around. Packaging-wise they're presented in an attractive box (also pink!) and a heatproof mat is included, which also doubles up as a 'carrier' of sorts - it has a pouch to place the GHDs and the plug in, and a tie for the cable. Very useful if you're going away and want to protect your GHDs in your suitcase!
The one obvious negative is the cost, generally they retail for £90+. While this is obviously a LOT to pay for a luxury item, I'd say that you do get what you pay for - and this is a reliable, excellent hair straightener from my experience, and if you frequently straighten your hair then it's more of an investment!
Another negative point is that (quite obviously) they're very hot - but they do get hotter than most, so it's good practice to use the heatproof mat just in case, and keep an eye on them. They do have the potential to burn/damage the hair, so it's probably worth using a protective serum in addition to the hair straighteners.
Also, on the 'heat' point, it's worth noting that there are only two settings - on and off! Some hair straighteners have various levels of temperature, such as 1, 2, 3... these just have one high-heat setting. I find it fine for my hair, but it's worth bearing in mind if you generally like to use different settings when straightening your hair!
The only other negative I can think of is that I and some friends both had negative experiences with GHDs before - we were getting minor electric shocks when we unplugged them and had to be pretty careful. Now I've never experienced this particular fault with this model, but it's worth mentioning.
All in all I'd say that this is an excellent product, particularly if you use hair straighteners a lot. It gives consistently good hair - even when you're in a massive hurry - and they're very easy to use. Hope this review helps!

Advantages: You don't need to re-straighten time after time, can create thing whispy curls very easily. Disadvantages: Damages hair, very expensive, yuo can get better for your money with babyliss.
